“Ernest Hemingway once said that when writing a novel, a writer should create living people; people, not characters. A character is a caricature. But what I wrote in this piece of paper is a tragedy in which will earn me extra credit.” I smiled at my teacher before ending my speech.
I blushed when Karina stood up from her seat to give me a standing ovation.
“Sit down, Miss Delvaux! This is my last warning.” Karina smiled before sitting back down in her seat.
“And Miss Knox, I like your presentation. You even took your time to include a quote from a famous author. Good! Please go back to your seat.” At least the teacher seemed to be satisfied with my work this time.
