Park Jimin • May 1, 2019 Park Jimin sat alone at the counter in a bar, which is located in downtown Los Angeles. He sipped his beer before glancing down to his cellphone. He tapped the screen, waking it up, where he opened a text conversation between himself and one of his ex-girlfriends, finding a new text from her. Steph: U up? Jimin stared at the text, obviously reflecting in his memories. Two weeks ago, he caught her cheating on him with a close friend of his. Since then, he hasn't spoken to either of them. Jimin misses having someone to come home to, he misses having someone to touch. As Jimin typed out a reply, someone stopped at the bar beside him. "Hi, can I have an appletini, please?" the voice came out low, yet smooth. Jimin stopped typing almost instantly after hearing the voice. He slowly looked over at the new form beside him. What caught his eye first, was the blonde hair, which resides halfway down the woman's back. Then, of course, his eyes went a little further down. The woman is wearing a cute white crop top, and light blue jean shorts, which show her form nicely. The woman at the counter slowly looked over at the man, who's full-on checking her out. "I'll have to see some ID," the male bartender spoke, stopping in front of her, which snapped the young lady from her gaze. The woman immediately looked at the bartender, almost startled by the statement. Without speaking, the woman pulled her ID out of her purse, and laid it on the counter. Jimin's eyes immediately shot to the upside down ID, where he tried to make out her name, but was unable to due to the bartender picking it up. Jimin glanced to the girl for a moment, and he stared at the small portion of her face that he could see. She almost seems afraid to look at him again, but that didn't last long. She glanced over to Jimin, and a small smirk appeared on her lips, then she looked behind the bar once more. The bartender returned in front of her, holding an appletini, as well as her ID. "Here you are, miss," the bartender handed her her drink, and her ID. The woman accepted her ID, and put it away. She quickly took a seat at the stool near Jimin, leaving one open between them. She took a quick drink of her appletini. Jimin looked straight again, drowning in his thoughts. The woman pushed hair behind her ear as she glanced around the bar, and that's when Jimin looked at her again, getting a better look at her face. She seems to be in her late twenties, and is very pretty. The woman glanced to Jimin for a moment, catching him staring. She scanned his face as his lips slightly parted, showing his teeth, where one is slightly crooked. His lips are full and plump, his jawline is sharp, and his eyes are dark. His hair is blonde, the roots are dark, and his forehead is exposed. The woman, then, took another sip of her appletini, and she stood up. She gave him a small smirk, then she turned and walked down a hallway, out of Jimin's line of sight. Jimin simply sat there for a moment, almost startled that she got up without speaking a word to him. But that look she gave him. It was more than enough for him to follow her. Jimin quickly took another sip of his beer, then he followed her down the hall. Once he reached the end of it, he came to the bathroom. It's a single, unisex, bathroom, and the door is ajar. Jimin started to slowly push it open. A confused expression appeared on his face after seeing no one inside. Well, no one in his sight. Jimin stepped inside, glancing over as he did. He found the woman lying on the floor, seeming to be unconscious, all while panic arose inside of his chest. The man quickly walked over to her. Lowering his eyebrows, he knelt down, and flipped her onto her back. "Hey, are you okay?" Jimin asked, revealing a thick Korean accent. Her head simply turned to the side, unresponsive. Jimin placed his fingers against the side of her neck, finding no pulse. He immediately pulled his phone out, and dialed 911. He put it on speaker, and laid it on the floor, then he started to check her for wounds. While the phone rang, Jimin found a bandage on her stomach, up near her ribs. "The subscriber you have dialed is not in service," was the only thing he got in return after calling the police. "Please try again later." Jimin's eyes snapped over to his phone, and he scoffed, grabbing his phone and hanging up. "911 isn't available? That's f*****g great," he muttered, shoving his phone into his pocket. As Jimin was lost in his own thoughts, another man entered the bathroom. "Oh, holy s**t, is she okay!?" the man shouted, immediately running over to them, and kneeling down near the woman's face. "She isn't breathing," Jimin replied, slowly peeling the bandage back, finding a deep scratch. It's red, hot, but is cleaned up. As Jimin prepared to do CPR, the other man leaned down and placed his ear near her nose, as an attempt to hear her breathing. Jimin's hands rested over her chest, and that's when her eyes shot open. He immediately looked up at her, clearly startled, but he wasn't able to ask any questions. The woman immediately ripped into the man's throat, causing a bloodcurdling scream to escape his lips. The woman, who was dead, pushed the dying man onto his back, where she continued to tear into him. His screams disappeared, and were, instead, replaced with gurgling as he fought to breathe. Once Jimin snapped out of his shock, he grabbed the woman by her hair, and slammed her to the ground. He lifted her head up and down, smashing her head against the concrete ground. After successfully killing the already dead woman, Jimin fell back on the ground. His back rested against the door, causing the door to slam shut. He looked at the man, who's laying in a pool of his own blood. He isn't breathing. Jimin looked at the blonde woman on the ground, whose face is destroyed beyond recognition. Blood is surrounding her head. Jimin, then, looked down at his bloodied hands. He took a shaky breath, clearly in shock. He simply sat there for a few minutes, trying to gather his thoughts, and that's when someone slammed themselves against the bathroom door. "Hey! Let me in!" someone banged on the door, but Jimin ignored it. And that's when the man outside screamed, then, suddenly, silence filled the air. Jimin slightly jumped after hearing that scream. He didn't move, nor blink, he simply sat there, still in shock. As Jimin sat against the door, the man, whose throat was ripped out, woke up. His eyes slowly opened, and a low growl escaped his still pink lips. Jimin's eyes shot to the man on the ground, who was dead, but is now alive, hungry for human flesh. Jimin slowly stood up as the man on the ground started to move. He grabbed a small, metal trashcan from near the sink, and walked back over to him. He, then, slammed the metal trashcan into the man's face, repeatedly. After he did that, Jimin leaned against the sink, dropping the bloody can on the ground. He took a shaky breath as he scanned the bloodbath beneath him. His ears are ringing, he's unable to comprehend what had just happened, but he knew it was coming. It was only a matter of time. ••• A/N: Thank you for reading! Please vote, comment, and add to your reading list for future updates! S. C. Keener 07/02/19
