Calla was staying with Fleur tonight, she preferred woman better. It was so good to see her. Katze could tell her sister was thriving here, how could you not? She adored Zeke, she could see it in her little eyes. These people made you want to do better. Following Zeke into his cabin Katze didn’t even look at the state of the place. She could only stare at those chocolate orbs, the eyes of her mate. As they stood there something changed between them, something electric. It was like a current holding them together, showing them where they belonged. With each other. “I love you.” Katze whispered stroking Zeke’s cheek with her hand. “I love you too.” Zeke responded quietly transfixed on her. She could sense they were both scared to ruin such a perfect moment, they didn’t want to ruin something that they had both dreamed of, well she knew she had. Zeke took her face in his hands, pulling her to him. His lips moulded with hers, their tongues entwined in a passion so potent, it was making her dizzy. Her toes curled at his need for her, she felt like she was the only woman in the world. Slipping those hands into her hair he pulled her back so once again their eyes met, the raw need for each other alive in them. “If we only have tonight, I want all of you.” He stated sounding calmer than she knew he was. “I want that too.” She nodded knowing that it was the only thing she truly needed. Again, their lips met but this time it was rough, the kiss earthshattering. It made her want him, more than she had ever wanted anything in her life. They ended up in the bedroom, how she got there she didn’t know. It was like she was floating with him, on a cloud, away from everything that wanted to keep them apart. A moment of doubt set in. Was this right to do to him? She was giving Zeke everything only to take it away, but the selfish part of her soul seemed to win, especially when Zeke unbuttoned his shirt showing that chiselled chest. They needed each other tonight. If all she could give him was a temporary relief from his pain then that was what she would do. “You are all I have in this world.” Katze would have cried at his words, the only thing that stopped her was those sinful lips moulding once again to hers. Pulling back Zeke took the jumper off her, then never breaking eye contact, unhooked her b*a letting it fall to the ground. His hands moulded to her breasts, a gasp leaving her. The purr that left her animal had an embarrassed tint of red lighting her cheeks, she could feel the heat of them. Zeke smirked in response. Trailing his fingers down her stomach, he pinged her leggings. “Take them off.” He demanded. She didn’t hesitate, she removed them at his request. In that moment she would have done anything for him. His fingers were once again on her, dusting across her pant line. “These too.” He stated. She slipped them down her legs a shudder of anticipation shooting up her spine. “Lie on the bed.” She crawled on slowly, lying on her back. Zeke put on a show, removing his clothes, slowly. It was driving her crazy. The animal was purring relentlessly wanting to make their mate hers. “Zeke please, I need you.” She begged. He moved on top of her, his hands moving her hair out her face. Leaning down he pecked her lips, the soft dusting of his lips making her heart melt. “My beautiful cursed Panther.” He whispered looking between both her eyes. She didn’t get a chance to respond, he thrust into her so sharply it took the breath from her. Her panther hissed, knowing this was home. Their bodies moulded together, syncing in a dance as old as time. The pleasure overwhelmed her, taking her to places she had never been. “I love you; I love you so much.” She didn’t know how many times she said those words, all she knew was that they were the truest thing that had came from her lips. Flipping him over her panther wanted control. Looking down at him as their skin slid against each other was intoxicating, the Panther purred, so loud showing her appreciation of their mate. The pleasure was building, to highs she didn’t know existed. Zake flipped her back over taking control, he was sexy when he was in charge. He was giving her everything, showing her how beautiful they could be. The light dusting of his lips against her neck had her moaning as those big, sinful hands gripped onto her breasts, teasing her. It felt like hours but she didn’t know, time had no meaning when she was with him. “Zeke.” She shouted, she needed him to do something, anything. As the pleasure built, her control on the animal slipped. Panthers didn’t claim like bears, they bit their mate to scar them. In their world a claiming mark was a true sign of love. “No.” She whispered to the animal. The need was so much, their bodies thrusting together so violently the bed was banging off the wall. The pleasure was blinding, she was right on the cusp and just like that she soared into an o****m that she wasn’t sure she would recover from, Zeke was right there with her, soaring on their high. In a panic her teeth sunk into her own shoulder, stopping herself from giving Zeke a mark that would be a constant reminder of Katze leaving him. The sting of pain was barely there as Zeke came up pulling the covers over her. “That should have been mine.” He realised what she had done a sad look on his face. He left to get a towel, coming back to clean the wound. It was already healing. “I can’t give you a mark, I wouldn’t give you that to leave you.” “Shhh.” He whispered, coming up to lie beside her, she settled into chest as he hugged her tightly to him. “Let’s not talk of that just now.” “You are everything I could ever want Zeke.” She kissed his chest. “Ditto panther, ditto. If I had the animal, I would have marked you tonight and never let you leave.” She didn’t respond, she couldn’t. Lying there she listened as his heart slowed, then his breathing. The rise and fall of his chest were lulling her to sleep but she knew she couldn’t. She had to get back. Slipping out from his arms she quickly pulled her clothes on. She found a notepad and pen in the kitchen. Before she could even really think about it she wrote him a note. “You will always have my heart.” Looking around she saw the knives on the counter. Closing her eyes to stop the tears it was no use. They fell, like a brutal waterfall that would never dry. Gripping the knife in her hand she walked outside slowly closing the door behind her. She didn’t know how long she stood outside Wolff’s cabin; it may have been hours. All she had to do was enter and kill him and this would all be over. She could have Zeke forever. The darkness was like a blanket over her, the moon making the blade shimmer. “Do it.” Turning sharply Serena stood in the distance. It wasn’t really her, she knew that. It was like a hologram, a ghost that had a white hue around it. “Do it and it will all be over; you can have Zeke.” Her voice sounded hollow. “I can’t.” She sobbed. “Do it.” The voice changed, it sounded deranged, like Serena was losing her patience. “I won’t take anything else from him.” She cried. “I won’t take away his best friend, he has already lost so much.” “Losing you will end him, he will die and it will be your fault.” Katze shook her head at Serenas words, the woman was trying to get inside her head. “They will save him; they will keep him alive.” She nodded, knowing that these people would do anything for Zeke, even if that meant saving him from himself. “Do it now.” Serena screamed. As Katze turned to the glowing figure of Serena she could have laughed at the rage emitting from the woman. Honestly if she didn’t feel like she had just lost everything she would have been scared, but now it felt like she had nothing to lose. “No.” She said the words calmly. “I won’t do it to him.” Throwing the knife, it went straight through the hologram of Serena, making her disappear in a cloud of mist. The knife hit the tree and just like that she was alone. Her heart ached with each step she took away from Zeke, it was unbearable. The animal fought for her skin, but she couldn’t have it. “Goodbye Zeke.” She cried as she got into her truck. Driving away was the hardest thing she had ever done. She was leaving him for good and soon she would betray him by being forced to mate with other men. No matter who she was with or what she was forced to do, she would always think of him because he was the only thing that would get her through. Zeke was the air she breathed, he was the happiness in the world, the sun in the sky and most importantly he was hers. He thought he didn’t deserve her, that was why he let her go without a fight, why he had accepted that one night was all they could have. He thought he wasn’t enough, that he was broken but Zeke didn’t understand – he was perfect in every way.
