Shirley POV
I tried to convince Caleb. I understand his feelings for Bianca are overwhelming. And I'm not going to be sceptical just because he hates me. Love is subjective, but Caleb is the Lycan Alex desperately needs. He's very important to Wolftown. I don't want to let Caleb and Alex go their separate ways.
"What did you know about my relationship with Mr. Brisney, Shirley Mendes? You're just a woman who came out of nowhere and messed everything up!" Caleb was angry with me. And I wasn't going to be provoked. I tried to stay calm. If he got angry and brought up the Lycan, I would lose.
"Okay," I said. I relented. "I did come to Wolftown intending to get revenge on Alex."
Caleb's eyes turned red. His fangs started to come out. So did his claws.
"Then I'll have to kill you!" snapped
