Two years passed.
"Shirley, Jonas is crying!" A man's voice sounded hoarse, calling out to me. I, who was practicing using my abilities, immediately stopped. I was currently in wolf form.
"Okay!" I said.
Two years passed. I left Wolftown. I was currently in Red Moon Pack territory, a pack that exists outside of Wolftown territory. I live together with a kind Alpha, Peter Hidden. He saved me when I was exhausted.
I approached Peter, who was holding a toddler boy. He is Jonas, my son. I gave birth to him a year ago.
"Oh, my baby." I quickly took him from Peter. He smiled at me. Peter is very kind. I liked him a lot. But only to the extent of liking.
Jonas immediately shut up when I picked him up. Peter breathed a sigh of relief. He rubbed Jonas' head. I could see that he was very kind to Jonas and me.
"You don't want to show your son to his father?" Peter asked me.
I just smiled. "He doesn't want my son and me," I replied. I looked at Jonas. Oh, God. He looked so much like Alex. I couldn't deny it. But Alex doesn't even know about this kid.
Peter also looked at Jonas, who was very cute. He still rubbed Jonas' head. "You should go back to your family, Shirley. I'm sure they're very worried about you."
I took Peter's words as nonsense. "They don't want me either, Peter," I replied.
Peter sat on the rattan chair in the living room. I've been living in Peter's house for the past two years. Not without reason. I work for Peter. I'm not single for free here. Yep, as an Alpha's daughter, I must be a worker in another pack. But I did it to survive.
Luckily Peter is very kind. When we met, he asked me to leave, but he couldn't after finding out I was pregnant. I promised to work at the Red Moon Pack as long as I didn't get kicked out. That night I had no energy, and Peter agreed. I'm very, very grateful to him.
"At least you tried to have good intentions. No parent really abandons their child. They must miss you, Shirley." Peter tried to reassure me.
I learned many things from Peter in the past two years. I learned how to be a strong woman. I also learned to fight with Peter. He taught me not to be weak to anyone. And he taught me to forgive my father. I hated him for throwing me out when I was pregnant.
I looked down at Jonas. At first time I hated him because he reminded me of Alex. Why did he have to look so much like Alex? But now, I really love my son. He is the only thing that I have.
"I heard there was a battle in the Wolftown area. Aren't you worried at all?" Peter asked again.
"I'm not my father's daughter anymore. I have no business with the Purple Moon Pack or the lives of the shifters there. I'm happy living together with Jonas."
Peter exhaled after hearing my answer. He never forced me. I'm really very grateful. But this time, I didn't want to listen to him.
"I told you to forgive them. If you don't return, you might regret it," Peter said. I didn't understand why Peter said that. I felt like it was serious.
To be honest, I really miss my family. I miss my mom and dad. I miss Shireen quite a bit, although now I hate her even more. She's my sister whom I love, but she provoked my father. But I still miss them.
"Go home. I'll accompany you," Peter said. "You should at least show them that you're okay."
I pondered for a while after hearing Peter's words. Two years had passed without any news from the Purple Moon Pack. I only heard the news that there was a battle in Wolftown territory. I am still trying to figure out what happened. After all these years, it was only this time that there was another clash in the territory inhabited by several pack shifters.
I finally took Peter's advice. I went back with Peter to Wolftown. Not to stay but to visit. I wanted my father and Shireen to see that I was okay even though they had kicked me out.
When Peter's car entered the Wolftown area, I saw many Lycan statues used as symbols in public places. I wondered why this area seemed to be the Lycan's territory.
"Peter, what's going on?" I asked Peter who was driving.
"I heard that the Silver Lycan Pack is the ruler of Wolftown. They won the battle," Peter replied.
I felt hurt when I heard that Alex was the ruler of Wolftown. That meant the other Packs had to submit to the Lycan rule. I was suddenly worried about my family. My father didn't like the Lycans very much. Alex was his enemy. How would he live under Alex's rule?
Peter's car entered the Purple Moon Pack territory in North Wolftown. I was surprised that this place looked so chaotic. I didn't even see anyone in this area.
"Peter, where are the Purple Moon Pack wolves?" I asked Peter. I felt suspicious. I looked back, ensuring Jonas was still asleep in the back seat. Luckily he was still sleeping.
"I'm going out," I said. I wondered what had happened. Why did this area seem so chaotic?
I got out of Peter's car. I was surprised that there was no one there. I also saw traces of blood on the streets.
I closed my eyes. I tried to see with all my might. I wanted to see what had happened.
I saw nothing but a lot of fighting in this area.
"Shirley." Peter tapped me on the shoulder. I immediately turned my head and looked at him. The look on Peter's face was one of concern as he looked at me.
"What's wrong, Peter. Do you know something?" I asked in a panic.
Someone was seen crossing the street. I quickly called out to him.
"Excuse me. I don't see anyone in Purple Moon Pack territory. What the hell is going on? Did they move out?" I asked curiously.
That person was surprised when I asked. "Are you from outside Wolftown? Why don't you know what happened?" the man said. "A month ago, there was a big battle. I heard that the Purple Moon Pack lost to the Silver Lycan Pack. They slaughtered all the pack members."
My hands were shaking so badly. I didn't know what to do. But I felt so much anger towards Alex after hearing that man's words.
The man left immediately after talking to me. Peter, on the other hand, was silent. He approached me and patted my shoulder.
"I am sorry. I didn't want to tell you. But you should know," Peter said.
I was silent for a while. I clenched my hands into fists. Alex's name kept popping up in my head.
"I will destroy Alex. I swear I will destroy him!" I stared very seriously. My eyes turned to the color of the red table. The wolf inside me continued to bark. I wanted revenge on Alex.
