The Curse of Haunting Queen

Chapter 24

Suzan’s POV

While we are having dinner, I don’t know but I’m feeling sleepy as I’m eating more and more.

“See Jeremy I guess he really needs to stay and take some rest.” Mr. Nicolson speaks.

He repeats himself which is a lot weird. But I just can’t process the thought. I try to listen what’s happening all that I can get it that Mr. Nicolson is trying so hard to make Jimmy wait which is a lit weirder I’m too tired so I don’t pay attention at any talks. When we are done eating dinner Jer, Jimmy and Mr. Nicolson are still speaking I just take the leave and head towards our room as I’m super sleepy. 

The next morning

I hear knocking on the door and I open my eyes I see Jer’s hands around me tightly wrapped around me. I somehow get his hands of me and get out of the bed.

“Yes!” I say I as walk towards the door and open it.

“Good Morning, Mr. Nicolson.” I say when I see them at the door.  

“Good Morning dear the breakfast is prepared.” Mr Nicolson speaks.

“We will be down in 15 minutes.” I reply and they leave.

When they walk away I close the door right away and walk towards the washroom while I wake up Jer, “Jer, get up.” I say as I enter the washroom.

“Who was there at the door?” Jer asks.

“It was Mr. Nicolson he was just calling everyone for breakfast.” I tell Jeremy.

“Okay.” Jeremy replies.

I put on a sweatshirt as is it super cold today.

When I’m done brushing my teeth and washing my face I grab the hair brush to brush my hair and tell Jer, “Get up, Jeremy.”

He groans as he gets out of the bed and walks into the washroom.

After sometime we both walk down for breakfast. Mr. Nicolson is serving everyone some crêpes.

“What’s the plan for this evening?” Rick asks as he takes a bite. Everyone else is just into their food.

“So, I guess we are leaving at 4 or maybe 5 just to be sure that we would be on the top by the time sun is down.” Jer explains.

Jimmy is not really happy but a bit good then yesterday.

“Hey?” Jake speaks to Jimmy.

“Actually he is not that great that he could come with us so Mr. Nicolson suggested that he could stay here so Mr. Nicolson could take care of him.” Jer replies.

“Yeah” Jimmy replies as he puts his face on the plate of crêpes and concentrates the s**t out of creeps.

“That is not good I will stay with Jim here.” Jake speaks.

“See son, Jimmy wouldn’t like you to miss the opportunity too he talked with Jer that they would go there again.” Mr. Nicolson speaks.

“Yes, I wouldn’t want you to miss that.” Jimmy says.

“Hey boy we need you up there for clicking my pictures.” Elena speaks.

“Ohh I guess that you have your shitty bf for that, don’t you?” Jake replies.

We all burst into laughter as Jake winks and apologises to Rick.

“Elena, please watch your god damn mouth before you speak.” Jake replies to her and turns towards Mr. Nicolson.

“Is he that much weak? I will take good care of him if you allow us to take him.” Jake speaks to Mr. Nicolson.

“He is not much weak but he really needs to just chill and get some rest.” Mr. Nicolson explains.

Jake is silent I think that he is really thinking hard.

Everyone just huts down as they eat the breakfast.

We all are just eating as we all discuss what we would do tonight and Jimmy is just a little bit not good as he would not be able to be there.

“Hey what’s up?” I ask Jimmy just to break the silence.

“Nothing just thinking what will I do?” Jimmy replies.

Before even I could speak Jake replies, “You can do anything you want just don’t exercise or swim or either follow us. You can watch series play some video games.”

Jake is trying to just be helpful because when Jake talked with Mr. Nicolson that he would also stay with Jimmy but something is weird about Mr. Nicolson since yesterday he just might like taking care.

Just not that he would also convince people to leave him alone or just not stay here. I ignore it

 Jimmy is getting that Jake is trying his hard to stay because I was with Jimmy when that took place.

“Mr. Nicolson where are the tents? We might need them.” Jeremy speaks with Mr. Nicolson.

“Actually some might be there on the top. As your parents fund the trekking business here” Mr. Nicolson replies.

“Okay we will carry one more tent just in case if we need one.” Jer replies.

“Yes and is anything needed?” Jer asks as he makes a list of the things that we might need.

“I will be carrying my guitar so we can at least enjoy that.” Elena says as she takes a bite of the crêpes Mr. Nicolson made.

“So should we carry a big bag for food?” Jer asks.

“I guess instead of taking a bag why don’t we just share the things into us and put it in our stuff.” Sam replies.

“Would we need anything else or are we forgetting anything?” Jer asks Mr. Nicolson.

Jake’s POV.

“We could take the emergency things like lighter, knife or something like that. What about the food are we going to make something?” I ask.

“If you want you can take you can cook things up there but I would suggest take as much as instant food.” Mr. Nicolson replies.

“So, there are the thinks which can be used for cooking?” I ask.

“Yes J.” Jer replies.

I just don’t feel good I really want to stay and Jimmy won’t let me stay he knows me much better.

When we all are done eating we help Mr. Nicolson to clean up the dining area.

“So at what should we meet here?” Sam asks.

“After lunch we will just get our stuff down and leave around 4 or 4:40 PM is that okay?” Jer asks.

“Yes would work.” I reply.

“Okay then.” Rick replies.
