As I sat in my home office reviewing paperwork, I felt prepared to retire and hand over the reins to my son, my commitment had waned. I cherished spending time with my grandkids and chose to mate with Jalani, she had been a loyal companion for years, earning my kids' respect. While Lawrence was aware of my intention to mate with her, he was unaware that I had planned to make him King soon. I got a video call coming through from Cayden which was odd, so I answered, I knew this was bad when Michael saw me on the phone and asked me, "Where is Prince Lucas?" I was confused, as my son was a nuisance to everyone and the kingdom, although I still loved him, and they wanted me there for their meeting. Drax opened a portal and let me walk through, they could see the panic on my face as I tried to hide it.
I knew this was bad for my son and I looked at Michael and asked, "What did Lucas do now?" They explained everything and my heart broke, he always disappointed me ever since I lost his mother. I never expected to be on the receiving end of the Supremes raft because of my son's f**k ups, he will be disowned after all of this if Beta Drax doesn't kill him first. When Drax bit into me, seeing my deepest secret, I was more afraid that he would think that I was protecting my son. When, in reality, he disappeared after the war, no one knew where he was or who he was impersonating, I should have executed him years ago, but I didn't have the heart to kill my son. Now, he has caused problems with the Faes and Wolves, he needs to be found, and I have promised to help in any way I can.
I told them when he was last seen and Drax had already confirmed that, so a special team was put in place to find him and who he could easily blend into without notice. Lucas was always a pain in the ass, causing trouble, he always had a need to manipulate my late mate, and she fell for it, believing everything he did was because he was young and lashing out. As he got older, I heard about all the women, the gambling, and the drinking, causing fights. So I limited his spending, so he started lying to everyone for money, I admit, he had me fooled, I thought he had changed until his children started popping up, mostly from mated females in my Kingdom. I had no idea he was impersonating royalty in other territories to get what he wanted, Alpha Marcus was bad news, but he kept to himself.
So, he was fooled, hurt, and betrayed to lose his mind and go after someone else's mate for a blood deal Michael did not make, Lucas, where are you, and what have you done? I ran to Lawrence's room, he was on his balcony smoking a cigarette and drinking a scotch, he looked at me, shook his head disappointed, and asked, "What did he do now?" I looked at him and I couldn't hold back my tears, my hand shook, I didn't know what to do because no matter what I said, they would kill him, he hugged me and said, "Dad, don't do this to yourself." I cried like a baby on my son's shoulder, he was my wife's pride and joy, and I wanted so much to protect him, but I failed. Lawrence said, "Go and rest, Dad," linking Jalani, he turned to me and said, "I will handle it from now on," I nodded as I saw my love hug me and take me back to my room; I was a broken king because I loved my kids with all their flaws.

I got a call from Prince Lawrence, we were friends and I respect his father, we have a long-standing treaty, so when he asked for help, I sent it. Lawrence was a man of his word, when he had the means to get something done or say he would do it, it was done, I know when his father steps down he will be a strict and fair king, but respected. Lawrence told me about the predicaments of his younger lost brother Lucus, 'the Wicked Shifter' as he is called back home. I knew the basics from what Aidan told me but knowing all this was linked to what happened to Queen Emeric and King Michael was shocking. My men had helped retrieve her and Michael was merged with another entity which had ties to the Supremes and the Underworld. Speaking of the underworld, I mind-linked King Samuel and asked if Lucas was hiding out there, he smiled and said, "I hope not, but I will look into it."
I sent Draven to help Lawrence investigate what they know about Lucas, I had Drax fill me in on the basic information they had so far because Lucas needed to be found quickly. Lucas was a danger to society because he could shift into anyone, as his royal blood allowed. Lawrence loved his brother but knew he had to do what his father couldn't. It was late evening, and I was tired, everyone on my floor had left the office already. I picked up my keys and phone and headed to the elevator, I heard moans and stopped because I was supposed to be the only one up here. I followed the sound and reached my son, Alen's office, he was on a business trip, so I pushed the door to see my other son, Alamar, f*****g one of the employees, and I shut the door. I got into the elevator when he mind-linked me, "Sorry about that Dad, and don't tell anyone," I said, "Keep it out of the office and be safe."
Ruby was already in bed when I got home, I ate what she had left in the microwave and looked at the file trying to connect the dot with Lomario. Allan walked in and smiled at me, I said, "I thought you were in Faeora?" He smiled and said, "I was, but I am heading to Demorand, I have a date, but I stopped in to check on you," he looked at the file. He growled because he had the same feeling as me about my suspicions of Lomario, he said, "Let Jared look at the file, he is best at connecting dots," I smiled. I didn't want to bring in the elves, but he was Allan's comrade, so I nodded for him to tell him, I got up and said, "See you when you get back." I headed to my quarters to see my beautiful wife asleep, I touched her face feeling our intense bond and mind-linked Aidan, he portaled on the balcony and looked stressed, he asked, "What is it, Dom?"
I looked at Ruby, and he smiled and said, "The goddess has blessed you, she is also your fated mate so you can soul-bond her, relax," before he portaled out. I knew it, I could feel it, I had to tell her, but I let her sleep, rubbed her belly, and kissed my hatching, Ruby was pregnant again. I went into the shower and mind-linked Mia, she said, "Dom, I am about to go to sleep, isn't it your week to be with Ruby?" I smiled and said, "That doesn't mean I can't check in on you, I love you, Mia," she said, "I love you too, now go spend time with Ruby and future baby." I smiled because she was pregnant too, I got them pregnant two weeks apart and couldn't believe I did that, but it was worth it. I thought about how far we had come; they don't fight each other anymore and respect each other, I should have known that Ruby being my mate was the reason that they accepted each other.

I was reading up on my family, they had moved on without me, I heard my father would be getting a wife soon and that angered me. He cut me off from the family fortune, I had to lie, steal, and cheat my way through kingdoms to make ends meet until I landed on a gold mine in Faeora. My older brother Lawrence was a pain in my ass when I was growing up, but he could have begged Father to give me a chance as he was the favorite, but he just let me get banished. However, after the civil war, I took Prince Omri's identity and stole his mate's heart, Hallie was a looker, and she was good in bed, but my s****l appetite had outgrown her, and I ended up in other women's beds unknown to her. I became a father to her kids while disowning my kids and I loved my life, I used magic and potions to keep my identity from the Fae Kings, but something was different about Michael when he woke up from his coma, now I needed stronger potions.
After realizing the potions were wearing off a lot faster than they should, it is causing me to spend a lot more money than I should. I had contact with a witch who worked with a powerful witch so that I could make my face permanent and allow me to impregnate my wife. This will cost me a lot of money and deep favors in return, I don't know if I am ready for that yet, but she was adamant that is how it would be, a life debt. However, I asked her if there was a way that I could block Michael from ciphering the magic in the castle which I believe is weakening my potions. I had made contact with my witch and was given a time to meet her, Halle had also wanted me to meet her and I continued my day waiting for a reply. "f**k," I was heading to my witch to get my monthly supply of keeping up appearance, I forgot that I needed to get this done before I met up with my mate.
I wanted to make love to her, and I was putting it off as the potion was ending, I parked my car, went inside, and she was waiting for me. She gave me the potion and enforced the spell on my wedding rings, I paid her, and she asked me, "Is it true about the Dark Witch being captured?" I said, "No, if she was, that is very private information," she smiled and said, "No worries, we have a plan to free her and the Supremes will be distracted pretty soon," I left saying, "Not my problem," and headed to go meet my workmates since we have a job to do. I was heading home and thought about what the witch said and decided to work things in my favor for future business and seal it with a good f**k. All I had to do was stay away from my family and not blow my cover, I have a meeting with Lawrence later this week, and maybe I should take the time to visit my kids.
