“Yup, just go. We can take care of her from now on.” Their hands were already pulling me away from Ben. “I wish I could stay with you the whole time. Just survive until we sit down for the food, we won’t be bothered by anyone then.” Ben’s warm reassuring smile was supposed to help me get away from my panic mode, but this time it didn’t do much. Instead, it made me feel like I wanted to just jump out of my own skin and run away. “So, how was your summer vacation?” One of the girls started asking me. I bet my face had to look really pale right now. I didn’t want to talk to these girls. I wanted to go back to the walk-in wardrobe and spend time happily in the bubble that wrapped around me and Ben. That warmth and slight excitement that softly tingled in my belly was all I wanted right now.
