Chapter 10 They found Pamela Rudolph digging a hole behind her house. Dane slouched back a little as they went, but Sean strode forward, plastering a smile on his face. He raised a hand in a kind-of-wave and called out so they wouldn’t be sneaking up on her. She turned, frowning, chill wind whipping her hair out of where it was tied. Her skin was the tanned white of a farmer, and she wasn’t much older than Sean, which surprised him. He felt a little bad lying to her. “What do you want?” she asked as they approached. Sean stuck out his hand. “Hi, I’m Craig Miller from the Bleu Times, and I wondered if I could ask a few questions. You’re Pamela Rudolph, right?” “Yeah, I’m Pam,” she said, shaking. She still eyed him suspiciously. “I get the Falls Courier. Never heard of Bleu Times.” “We’
