Charlie's POV
I was only trying to buy time. And this angers me because how will I show Anna I am sincere? I want to get to know her better, and I want to get to know my son better, and the only thing I could think of was proposing a convenient marriage. Now, my parents have turned against me. What the hell am I supposed to do? I thought Anna might rather accept that than me just proposing to her and asking her to be my wife for real. I know she does not love me anymore, and I know she does not want me to touch her. What am I supposed to do now? I thought she would rather accept a convenient marriage than a regular one. It looks like I can do nothing right tonight. Perhaps I should go to my study and sit out of everybody's way. Not even my son wants anything to do with me. Can I blame Ann
