Her eyes shine like a beautiful blue sky as she looked outside her mom's bedroom window. Snow covering the ground like her favorite blanket. She jumps up and down in excitement running to her mother who is ushering her to put her coat on. "Iris if you want to play in the snow you have to come put your coat and shoes on please." The little girl happily skips over to her mother and looks up at her and smiles. "Mommy I love you so so much." Iris quickly puts on her fluffy bright pink coat and rainbow snow boots running outside to the front of the house. "Mommy look at what my shoes can do. Look…" Iris jumps up and down and her boots light up with every jump she does. "I see snowflake that’s very pretty." The mom smiles happily and walks over to her young daughter stroking her platinum blonde hair while she tries to build a snowman. she sees her husband run towards her and Iris in his wolf form. He never does this, he always takes the car. She mind links him "Rick what is going on.". He was supposed to be at the Packhouse for a meeting. "Tami! Timber pack is attacking us, We need to get Iris to safety they can't know she is here. They will use her for…" he couldn’t finish his sentence before a warrior from the Timber pack tackles him. Panic sets over the frightened mother as she picks up her daughter and runs back to the house. Once she is in the house she feels a sharp pain in her chest and she drops to her knees howling in pain. "Iris get to the cellar and lock the door. I love you so much my little snowflake." Tami is feeling her mate slowly dying and it's just as painful for her as it is for him. Iris has tears streaming down her face as she looks at her mother. "I don’t want to go without you mommy, please don’t leave me!" the little girl hugs her mother tightly. "Iris," Tami says exhausted. "have this, to remember me by." Tami takes off her necklace, a snowflake with a beautiful blue diamond in the shape of a heart in the middle. The heart of eternity, Iris's father helped her get it for her mother's birthday this year. She holds onto the necklace that’s dangling across her neck and runs to the cellar making sure it's locked tight. She sits in a corner holding her knees up to her chest letting the tears go as she hears her mother scream for help. The screams feel like they last for hours before they suddenly stop. Soon after a pair of heavy footsteps come close to the entrance of the cellar. Iris covers her mouth trying to be quiet as a low chuckle comes from outside the door. With a quick hard pull of the door, Iris tenses up as she stares at it. Fear is all you can see in her eyes but the door doesn’t open. The man outside seems to be struggling and is getting frustrated. "Get this god damn door open!" he yells as he pounds on the door once. "I can smell the pup in there" Iris shakes in fear as she sees two men barge into the door breaking it down with the first try. "Good job Baily" The man who yelled nods at one of the guys and looks at the other man "Vincent," he says nodding again. They both leave the man alone as he looks down at Iris. "Awe it's just a pretty little pup" He smirks as he squats down to be eye to eye with her. "What's your name," he asks his voice raspy and deep. "I… I'm Iris." She says quietly still holding her knees to her chest. The man looks Iris in the eyes and chuckles again. "I'm Alan Timber, Alpha of the Timber pack. You little pup will be coming back with us." You can hear the evil in his voice, then he stands up and grabs Iris by the arm. "You will learn to be useful"
