COLE By the time I had reached the terrace, Cillian was sprawled on the rocking chair, donned in his typical attire of black on black. A cigarette was cushioned between his fingers as he took a long drag, watching the smoke curl up in the air.  He rarely smoked, unlike me, and only on occasions, which made me deeply curious about the latest development in his life that made him take a drag in the morning.   When I strolled near, he silently offered me and sat straighter.
