Ezra POV Lying on my bed, arms behind my head and staring up at the ceiling, I couldn’t shake this strange feeling of anxiety and nerves. It was like my body was restless and my mind was spinning, but I had no idea why. Seeing Arius again earlier may have been the cause. He hadn’t stayed for dinner or to see anyone else and he looked rougher than ever. His hair now nearly touched his shoulders and his beard was unkept. He was still a devilishly handsome man under it all but he just looked so defeated. There was no life left in his unique eyes. I hated seeing him that way. The man who I always thought of as invincible as a boy. But a bigger part of me thinks it had more to do with the picture of Lily. I haven’t been able to get her off my mind all day. It is ridiculous. I don’t even know
