Adriano POV
The next morning Michael went to check out Kelsey’s address. Turns out that after a few days we figure she was indeed telling the truth about who she is. But now, now she knows too much she is now a liability, we can’t simple let her go, I run my hand through my hair desperate. I am desperate to know what my next step is, I can’t seem to focus and is all her fault. Her presence makes me think too much into things. “Adriano, what now?” Michael asked bringing me back to the present, today we were supposed to know our next step is going to be. I don’t seem to know what to do just yet, but something inside says I have to let her go. Her parents even showed in the tv yesterday asking for her whereabouts. Deciding it was best to let her go we got in the car, but before I could say a word my phone ring. “Adriano the family whose gang belong to are the Torelli, I am sorry brother…… I… I can’t go on…. I was hurt…. I won’t.. ma..ke it” the line then died “Jonas??” He didn’t answer I had the information I wanted and needed but I lost Jonas. He was my mother’s spy or inside eyes, but to me he had become a friend. “What happen? What did he say?” Michel ask, “he is gone, he said the family we are looking for is the Torelli,” I answered him. “If he is gone that means they knew of us, we have to leave, Adriano we have to go back home, it’s not save here.” I know what he is saying but I can’t, I have to take Kelsey back to her house she doesn’t belong here in this world.
Kelsey POV
This few days have not been as horrible as I thought they would be. Now that he had decided to take me home I was happy but sad, sad this might be the last time I see him. But then again it is for the best we are from two different worlds I don’t belong in his like he doesn’t belong in mine. After he ended the phone call, Michel his friend started the car I was in the back seat quiet, watching through the window. Then out of nowhere cars started to get near us, Michel accelerated the car. “Kelsey get down!!” Adriano screamed I did as he said making myself as small as possible in the back of his seat. I am scare for my life but also for theirs, they are not bad, guns shots were heard. I cover my ears trying not to hear anything, this then happen so fast the car was rolling. I was flying inside the car hitting my head with every corner of the car.
Adriano POV
The cars that were following us were too many, they soon started shooting I was scare for the first time in my life. I was scare but not for me but for Kelsey, we were heading towards two other cars that seem to wait for us. Michel tried to move past them through one side but a car came out nowhere pushing our car to the side making it flip. This cause us to roll several times, I could see Kelsey try her best to stay on her seat. Michael was holding on tight to the steering wheel. That’s the last thing I saw before dark was took me.
Michael POV
I saw Adriano become unconscious, the car hit the water, I have no idea how they manage to lead us near the bridge. They knew what they were doing, I got out of my seat taking an unconscious Adriano with me. Before swimming out I see Kelsey coming near me, “is he alright? Oh Michel are you alright?” I see why Adriano has become so fond of her, I nod my head. “Yes, we have to get out of here can you swim?” I asked she nods the water was coming in through the crack windows. I push open the door letting all the water come in at once, with that we swim our way out. Kelsey is a good swimmer we got to the near edge that consists of rocks, we were both tired for the long swim. “I know we are tired but we can’t stay here,” I speak up she nodded, “I know this place theirs a small cabin, up there,” she pointed up the rocks. “Ok then let’s go,” we got on our feet as we start walking, I follow behind her still caring Adriano. He has a bleeding forehead which might be why he is unconscious he must of have hit his head to hard. After what felt like thirty minutes Adriano starts to stir. I put him down watching as he open his eyes, “you ok brother?” I ask he smile then panicked as he turn his head his eyes landed on Kelsey, “are you ok?” He asked she blush then smile brightly, “I am alright thanks for asking, but are you alright?” She asked concern could be heard from her voice, Adriano got up walking to her, “I’m good now.” He said as his hand touch her cheek gently I clear my throat letting them know they are not alone.
