"ADAM!" she exclaimed involuntarily. In her extreme fear earlier, she did not expect to suddenly be embraced by him. Without hesitation, she hugged him back, crying like a child on his chest. "I thought I was going to die tonight," she said in between her sobs. "Hush now," he said while patting her back. "Why did you leave? Did I allow you to leave? It's getting late, and you know it's dangerous walking on the road at this hour, especially now that you don't have a car," he added, sounding like a father scolding his child. She remained silent, continuing to cry. "C'mon, I'll drive you home. Get in my car." Only then did she gather the courage to speak and asked him. "Wait! Why are you here again? You should be in your room, lying down and resting," she said, gently wiping away the tea
