Waking up to the smell of bacon, eggs, and possibly pancakes, Emma opened her eyes and got ready to turn around when Christiaan stopped her.
“Hey! Wow, careful.” He laughed, lifting the tray off the bed.
“That smells delicious, bring it back.” She grinned and took the tray from him.
“Yeah, you slept through breakfast, so mom sent the tray up for you.” Christiaan smiled.
“What?” Chewing on a piece of bacon. “What time is it?”
“Eleven…” Christiaan looked amused.
“WHAAAT? And you let me sleep? Why didn’t you wake me? Who took care of Angelica? Oh, hell, I’m a terrible mother.” She jumped out of bed, rushing over to the crib to find her baby fast asleep, smiling.
“Calm down and finish your breakfast. I took care of Angelica, and you are a wonderful mother, you just needed some rest.” Ch
