The next day she woke with a start.  They rushed out the door before being seen into the back and around the house into the neighbors’ driveway a couple houses down, sure to wait for two vehicles to leave her house and fully leave the street before running back up the hill to his car.  It hadn’t been fun at all.  It was frightening and terrible and nothing she should have to go through but it did help him realize why she had been so eager to do what he did in the grocery store.
