Griffin howls in my head in approval as I ask Raya to go for a run with me. I didn't even know the words were going to come out of my mouth until they did. I'd been trying to think of a way to build on our growing connection, and at first I was just going to suggest a walk around the garden or something to give us a chance to speak outside of the formality of the castle. But when she asks me, with a hint of amusement in her eyes, what I want her to do, suddenly the answer becomes crystal clear.
