After my conversation with Raya, I’m filled with an even stronger sense of purpose than before. We still need to get to work on preparing for the Faceless; that hasn’t changed, but now, after what Raya told me about why she has remained celibate, I also need to find out more about the Valerian line and exactly what the powers in her blood mean for my mate and our potential children. It is my responsibility to keep her safe, in every way I can.
Just the thought of children leads me back to the kiss we just shared and the way my body reacted to it, and I can’t wait for the day to be over so I can prove to Raya, and Yvette, and anyone else who may have ever wasted their time worrying about my body and my s*x life, that there is nothing at all to worry about.
