“I know.” Colin took a deep breath. “I have been thinking about using my vacation time. Maybe you and I could go somewhere? Not just camping, though I do want to do that too, but somewhere…fun?” They discussed vacation plans until the nuggets were ready. With winter around the corner, anything outdoorsy would be too cold, but they didn’t have the funds to fly anywhere tropical. They could, however, drive down to California’s wine country. It was the off season, so it wouldn’t be crowded by tourists, and there would be plenty of wine even if the grapes weren’t growing. The timer on the oven went off.
