Chapter 19Sartre scratched his head. He’d already removed what he thought was salvageable but even the remnants of Opis that could be used wouldn’t interface with the two older ships that were on the other side of the hangar. At least, he thought to himself, he was able to retrieve the logbook, and the broken e-tablet. He was able to recover the old photograph.
Luckily, Phoebe had a C-class ship, and a D-class ship remaining in the hanger. He didn’t have to check either ship’s registry plates to conclude both ships were older than Opis. But like many early Terran-Lunar designs, they were designed to be powered using nuclear fuel rods and last hundreds of years in space. Sartre hoped they still had their shielding, and they were properly maintained to prevent fission leaks.
