AVALON
Merrick had me in his arms close to his body but his mind was far from me. It was almost as if today had completely drained him out. A few minutes into this ride and worry that I felt was wrecking.
And almost like he had felt it, he leaned forward and planted a kiss on at the back of my neck. He still didn’t say anything however.
The ride silently continued, up until we got home. Still in silence we walked to his room until I just couldn’t take it anymore. “Can you just spill it out already?” I snapped, without actually meaning to. It just kind of slipped. And the second the words slipped out from my mouth, I instantly felt guilty for snapping at him.
Merrick didn’t bother with me. He walked off to his closet and he left me in the room with my lips pursed and my brows knitted.
