Monte Carlo
Present
A sleek black Mclaren 720s Spider parked outside the Hotel Metropole Monte Carlo. The driver climbs down and tossed the keys towards the valet before walking inside the said hotel.
The driver was a stunning woman in a red suit. Her eyes were covered with sunglasses and her brunette hair was tied in a high ponytail that sways as she walks towards the terrace lobby bar of the hotel. The clank of her red Christian Louboutin attracts women’s attention around the area.
She made her way towards the table that was next to the terrace’s railings. She sat on the chair and it startled the middle-aged man eating at the table. When she removed her sunglasses and placed them on the table, the man that sat across her had his eyes wide like saucers when he saw her face.
“E-Electra.” The man stuttered.
“Tu m'évites, Blaise.” The woman said.
(You've been avoiding me, Blaise.)
The man shook his head, looking alarmed.
“Non, je jure que non.” The man answered.
(No, I swear I am not.)
The woman rolled her eyes and crossed her arms over her chest.
“Stop shitting me Blaise. I have given you a lot of time to give back what you stole from Nicholas, but you didn’t.” She said.
The man named Blaise frantically shook his head.
“No. No. No. Electra, I swear I will return –“
“It’s a little bit too late for that Blaise. I know what you’ve been doing behind that meek personality of yours. Not only did you steal from Nicholas you also sold us out, which resulted in losing some of our good men.” The brunette woman said and then Blaise hissed and then he stood up and made a run for it.
The woman huffed and she took her sunglasses and tucked them inside her coat pocket before looking towards the magnificent view. She won’t waste her energy chasing Blaise as she knew he will end up at her mercy soon.
She called the waiter and ordered a glass of wine. And as she sips the wine given to her by the waiter, she looked back at the beautiful view of the hotel. The sunset in Monte Carlo is one of the most beautiful sunsets she has ever seen in her entire life.
If it wasn’t for that man named Blaise she wouldn’t have come to Monte Carlo. But she has to deal with the traitor. The man did not just steal money from her boss; he also sold them to the rival family that cost them the lives of some of their men.
‘Electra...’
The name still sounds foreign to her even though she has been using it for centuries. Yes, centuries. For some reason, she never aged and remained how she was when she didn’t die in poison during the thirteenth century.
She was once a peasant girl named Priscilla who fell in love with a man above her status. But that love has only brought tragedy in her life that she even decided to take her own life. But somehow, it didn’t happen; she didn’t die.
It’s been so long but to her, it’s like it just happened yesterday. She could still remember the day she woke up after taking the poison. Confused about what happened, she tried to kill herself again but Death appeared before her and explained to her what she has done, what she has to do, and what she has become.
Time passed and she didn’t even age, and she doesn’t die even how hard she tried. She has changed and it forced her to live alone for so long, not staying in a place too long as she was afraid that someone will recognize that she doesn’t age.
Since then she has been working on her task to break whatever curse that was bestowed upon her. And along the way, she met six more like her that Death took interest in and made into a reaper. The six individuals have sinned greed, lust, sloth, pride, envy, and gluttony. They too don’t age at all, and cannot seem to die.
Being locked in the same curse, they formed a bond that anyone else cannot understand and break. During the eighteenth century, their little group came to work for a small mafia family from Sicily. They have been a part of the same family for so long that they helped the family establish, and expand.
As the mafia family grew from a small-scale group to one of the biggest and strongest families in Europe, their group stood in the shadows, helping the boss. Priscilla changed her name to Electra and she has been appointed by the boss as the consigliere and external adviser of the family. She has been the shadow of the boss, working in the dark, protecting the family with her group.
They have been a group of elite assassins that was sent every time someone big is in need to be disposed of. The family has gone through several bosses but the consigliere remained, and only the boss knew who and what she really is.
But what are they exactly? They did not die and didn’t age a day for the past hundreds of years. The answer was all seven of them have committed a sin, a sin that a mystic force named Death took interest in them. When Priscilla killed a lot of people out of revenge, she had sin wrath and Death has chosen her to be a reaper and gave her a task.
And now in the present times, she still goes as Electra; a person that delivers justice and punishments to those who have sinned against the family.
“Boss.”
She has pulled out her thoughts when she heard someone call, and when she turned towards it, she saw a tall, buff, and handsome black-haired guy wearing gray suit over yellow shirt.
“Midas.”
“We got Blaise.” The man named Midas said.
Midas is one of Electra’s mercenary. Like Electra, he was once a human turned reaper because of his sin in the past. He is once a business man and tax collector during the 14th century. He collected more than enough taxes and he sold his goods in a very high price so he can live in luxury. Because of that, Death deemed him as the reaper of Greed. At present time he is currently working as a history professor in a local high school in Rome. He is also a MMA fighter and he is good with any kind of weapons.
Electra nodded and then she stood up, and walked out of the terrace bar, followed by Midas. They both left the hotel in the McLaren that Electra used earlier.
They went towards a warehouse not too far from the hotel. As they went inside the warehouse, Electra immediately saw Blaise tied up in a chair in the middle of the said empty warehouse. Blaise looked terrified when he saw Electra walking towards him.
“You just tired yourself up trying to run away from me,” Electra said as she approaches Blaise who was trying to get out of his bindings.
“Don’t even think about escaping because this is the last place you’ll ever see,” Midas said.
“You’ll die here, without a doubt.”
A sexy blonde woman steps out of the shadows, wearing a green skin-tight romper and killer heels.
“Livia, don’t spoil the fun,” Midas said and the woman named Livia frowned.
Livia is also one of the six immortal people in Electra’s little group. She was once a human turned reaper because of her sin in the past. She is born from an ordinary family in the 15th century. Her family works for her best friend’s family. She killed her best friend because how envious she is of her comfortable life and that she is also in love with her best friend’s fiancée.
Because of what she’s done, Death deemed her as the reaper who sinned Envy. And in present time, she works as Electra’s assistant at the same time a race car driver. She is good with gymnastics, mix martial arts.
“I am not spoiling anything; I am just giving him a heads up,” Livia said crossing her arms over her chest.
Electra shakes her head as she watches Midas and Livia. Then she was about to speak when her phone went off. She pulled her phone from her pocket and answered the call.
“Alarie.” She said, and then her face turned serious.
“Si Capo.” She said and hangs up the call.
(Yes boss)
Livia and Midas both looked at her and noticed the sudden change in her facial expression.
“What’s wrong?” Livia asked.
“Let’s wrap this up,” Electra said, and then she pulled a gun from her back and pulled the trigger.
Blais didn’t have the time to react when Electra shot him right in the middle of his forehead. Both Midas and Livia looked at the dead Blaise and then towards Electra.
“I can tell that the call was urgent that you had to kill Blaise right away,” Midas said.
“I’m going to kill him anyway so why wait. Besides, Nicholas needed me back in Sicily now.” Electra said as she tucked away her gun.
And then she turned towards Livia.
“I’ll head out first, you two know what to do with him and I’ll see you home.” She told them.
Livia and Midas nodded and then Electra turned around and left the warehouse. Once she was gone, Livia and Midas shrugged, and then their eyes changed color. Midas’ eyes turned yellow while Livia’s eyes turned green, and then they held their hands out as a scythe materialized in it.
They gripped the handle tight and Midas gave it a swing towards Blaise’s direction. And as he did it, a black smoke sips out from Blaise’s body and then Livia swings her scythe and the black smoke disintegrated, followed by the body turning to dust.
Livia and Midas huffed and then their scythes disappeared.
“I’m hungry. Let’s grab a bite before going home.” Midas said.
“Let’s go,” Livia said and then they left the warehouse, leaving the dusty remains of Blaise.
