I woke up feeling elated and energetic. Today was the day we finally fled from the evil mafia boss. I planned that we would run to Houston and hide there for some time, and when we were finally able to get his complete money, we would make our grand return.
Although my father was strongly against the idea when I first brought it up, I was able to convince him, and he soon saw reasons why we had to move urgently. The guy was dangerous, and it would be very unwise to stay idle and just wait for what he’d do.
Tomorrow was the day we were supposed to pay him, and up till now the only amount we’ve been able to raise was $30k, and that was way below the $500k we owe, so this was the best step to take, as I can’t imagine myself giving up myself to him as a pet.
