Chapter 20

870 Words
The drive home was chaos; that really was the only word Julian could use. Ash was nagging Sebastian from the passenger seat; Thea wouldn’t quieten down about just how Ash knew Sebastian was going to say what he did, how on earth he learned to eat as fast as he did, and that he had to teach her because the way that would come in handy would be insane. And Julian? Well, he was panicking. Sebastian was rather tight-lipped about the whole situation. Why would Julian not panic in this situation? Though he knew there was no way this was a good thing, Sebastian would have said it was, but he was so focused on not breaking any road laws that he tried to get them home as soon as possible. “Is everyone safe?” Ash asked, slumping into his seat as he fiddled with the seatbelt. Sebastian ran his hands through Ash’s hair at a set of red lights as he looked at him. Ash appeared to melt at the touch, and all the anxious energy seemed to leave his body. “Everyone is safe, Romeo, don’t worry.” “Then why?” “You’ll see when we get home.” “Is it anything bad?” Sebastian hesitated. “It depends.” “On?” “How you view the situation.” “You know exactly how I view every situation. Tell me.” “I think you might not like this very much, but you’ll be more concerned about someone else.” “Who? Is it Dante?” “Who’s Dante?” “Dai’s older brother.” “He has an older bnrother?” “Yes, they went no contact, until he found me having my f*****g coffee at Lunaris, and decided it would be a good time to hound me.” “You never told me this!” “I didn’t think it would be of any issue, but if I go home and see Dante f*****g Alejandro standing in my living room, I will f*****g punch him.” Julian frowned; why would Uncle Dai cut contact with his older brother, and why did Dante come to see Ash out of all people? And why was this considered a bad thing? “No, it’s not that, but we really need to talk about you not telling me things.” “Okay, Missy.” “Oh, I told you about her,” Sebastian deadpanned. “After I saw her with her hands all over you.” “And you went out of your way to kiss me in the middle of the office.” Ashton shrugged. “She was ignoring the wedding ring, so I was ignroing her and kissing my husband, I see nothing wrong with it.” “Who is at home?” Thea snapped, impatiently waving her hands around. Ashton turned to glare at her through the gap, and she sighed. “Sorry,” she muttered. “I didn’t mean to raise my voice.” When they finally arrived, Julian was the last person to walk through the door because chances were, well, he was praying the person waiting for them in the living room was not anyone from his past, so most likely, he didn’t know who it was. When he finally saw them, he was right. The woman with the long, almost white hair was wearing a suit, and the man standing next to her with his blonde hair and brown eyes, well, he didn’t know them. However, Ash sure did know them because he walked over to the man and punched him straight in the face. The woman stared at Ash blankly as he landed another punch, and Sebastain decided that three punches were enough before he pulled his husband off of him. “Where is Alex? Does he know this fucker is here?” Bailey cleared his throat a little. “Dad went to go pick up Dad. I think they’re going on a date after, too.” “Let me punch him,” Erza deadpanned as she walked through the door, her blazer in her hand, and she stopped right in front of the man and swung. “If anyone else punches me, I am f*****g leaving.” “Good. Leave before Alex gets here,” Olivia deadpanned, crossing her arms over her chest. “No,” the woman deadpanned. “We came for a reason.” “What reason could that possibly be?” Dai replied. But when Alex walked in, s**t hit the fan. Bailey cleared his throat, “Okay, so maybe they’re not on date night, tonight.” That’s when the yelling began; Alex was yelling at the man, and Nathaniel was standing behind him. Aunt Olivia also decided to join in, and so did the rest from a distance. Julain heard the doorbell ring, and he sighed as he weaved in and out of people and opened the door. The chaos in the background was very much viable, and he stared at the group, forcing a smile. “Hello, I assume you are the neighbours from across the street, but can we do this another day? Now really isn’t a good time.” ~*~
