CAT-MOUSE CHASING GAME

1728 Words
David’s P.O.V. I hate her being involved in the fight here. There were lethal fights and both fighters fought for their lives. There is no mercy here. They used mixed fighting skills. It was not like Steph couldn’t fight. She was an amazing fighter and I am proud of her. But, being her father, I feared for her. Whenever she got injuries, my heart cried hard. I couldn’t shed my tears in front of her. It could weaken her. But she is my only family. I tried to convince her so many times to give up fighting here but being a stubborn like me, she always denied it. She put all her anger into her fight. Anger of not being able to protect her mother. I knew that it was not her fault. She was just a mere child at that time. “David… 5 minutes for the round first… bring her”, one of the referees shouted and I shook my head. I went towards her room. She was sitting there on the chair all ready. She always covered her face so that no one could bother her in the real world. “Time to go hun”, I said in a sad tone. She stood up and came towards me. “Dad… you know I will win.. then why does this sad face again”, she asked me and I sighed. “You know I don’t like you fighting. And your opponent today is a lethal one. He has already killed 80% of his opponents before”, I said in an irritating tone and lowered down my face. She cupped my face and pulled it up. “Dad… no one can beat your daughter. Maybe your daughter is weak but not your student. Do you trust me??”, she said and I instantly replied, “of course I do”. She smiled and said, “then trust in your skills and wish me luck”. I sighed and kissed her forehead. “I know you can win any fight. Let’s show him who the real fighter here is”, I faked boasting and she laughed. Then we both went towards the fighting arena. There was a large crowd today. No doubt, she was the best fighter in this arena and today she was challenged by another fighter from other clubs. The second fighter was like a beast. He was almost 7 feet with a very heavy body. He had scars on his face which made him uglier. He was looking like a barbarian. The crowd was cheering aloud. Mostly the crowd had banners of her name. She fought under name of “Shadow Fighter”. No one knew that the shadow fighter is a woman, not a man. There was a deafening noise as everyone was cheering aloud. The arena was fully occupied today. We headed towards our spot and everyone cheered aloud while looking at her. She waved her hand to the crowd to greet them. The commentator announced names of both the fighters and both headed towards the cage. Yeah… Every fight went in a sealed cage. Once the door gets closed, it opened only after one of them get killed or is unable to fight more. I prayed for her safety and she squeezed my hand in the assurance that she would make it alive before she went towards the cage. Noah’s P.O.V. As soon as we entered the arena I wanted to go out immediately. The crowd was cheering aloud like a bunch of madmen. They were shouting, throwing things at each other. It seemed that both the fighters were famous in their respective clubs. They were all excited and ready to get more excited for blood. I just hate James. He was crazy for these kinds of fighting. It was not like he loves to see cruelty, barbarism and violence, but he likes to watch the tact and their sharp fighting skills. “Hey… hey… look at the screen Man”, James shouted and signalled me towards a large screen in the middle of the arena at a high place. There were descriptions of both the fighters with their photos. “Whoah”, I was shocked to see the contrast between them. One named Shadow Fighter was a boy who has hidden his face smartly. He was of my age and a height of 5 feet and 6 inches. On the other hand, the other fighter named Thunder Storm was a monster. He was almost 7 feet tall, in his early 30s, had scars all over his face which made him look scarier. There was no way the Shadow Fighter could make it alive today. He would not able to be in front of that Thunder Storm in less than a minute. “No way that Shadow Fighter will make alive today”, I shouted. “That’s where you are wrong bro”, James shouted back while chuckling. There was a sparkle in his eyes. I furrowed my brows. “Shadow Fighter is fighting in this arena for more than a year and has 100% win. He never lost a single fight”, he shouted again and it raised my curiosity. “Here they come. Look over there. He is Shadow Fighter”, he shouted again and pointed me towards a door. I was surprised to see him. He had a much-leaned body unlike boys but held a cold gaze in his eyes. His eyes seemed familiar to me but to whom, I was not able to recall at this moment. He waved his hands to the crowd and they all went mad in excitement. Soon, the referee announced them to enter the cage where they would be locked until the end of the fight. Stephany’s P.O.V. I looked towards the crowd with no expressions. I just hate all of them. They all were animals in form of humans. They love violence. They shout excitingly at the bloodshed. They cheered at every lethal punch or kick that brought down a fighter on the floor. They all love barbarism. They are all like those killers who killed my mother. I hate them all. Soon, the screen showed both fighters descriptions and photos, and they all went mad. It only made my blood boil in anger and fueled my anger more. I waved them to pretend that I love their cheering but in reality, I want to kill them all. Soon, the referee announced the fighters to enter the cage. I moved back to my father and he held both my hands in his hands. “Remember child, try to figure out his weak points first and do not loose your temper if you want to make it alive. Your plus points are your lean body, your speed and your survival instincts. Play defend first and then attack. He always fights with a temper. Use his temper against him. Good luck”, I nodded and then I saw a tear in the corner of my father's eyes. I squeezed his hands in the assurance that I would make it alive like past. Then I headed towards the cage. The other fighter was already there. He was punching his chest like a gorilla. Yeah… he was like a baby gorilla.. all beating his chest with both hands and making annoying sounds. As I entered the cage, they closed the door and he looked at me. First, he saw me in confusion and then his expressions changed from confusion to mockery. He laughed aloud and I put both my hands on my nose avoid to breathing as I felt like puking due to bad air he spits out during laughing. Gosh… he really needed to gargle his mouth with a good mouthwash. My action made the crowd laugh at him and he looked back at me in anger. “You kiddo…. You will not survive to regret your decision for coming to this fight”, he threatened me in his heavy voice and I scoffed. I just raise my brows a little and said, “we will see”. I was shocked for a few seconds when he heard my voice. He realized that I am not a boy, but a girl. But before he could say anything, I cut him off, “don’t you dare to take me low. That can be your biggest mistake of life. I can take you down any weak moment of yours”. I tried to provoke him and it worked. He threw a punch on me and I easily dozed off and slid under his legs to the other side that was opened enough to let me cross easily. He moved back towards me and started throwing punching and kicks. As I was almost 2 feet smaller than him, so he was having difficulty aiming his punching directly on me. I used this opportunity and dozed off all his punches. I knew that his one punch could finish my life. I noticed that he put more strength in his left foot to kick. Also, he was a little bit slow due to his weight. He has also a blind spot at the corner of his right eye. I avoided bending a little down that meant that he had some problem in his back also. I didn’t attack till yet as I was only studying his every move and was trying to figure out all his weak points. The crowd was cheering madly and was provoking me badly for fighting back. I scoffed in my mind. “Go f**k yourself you m****r f*****r”, I yelled on them in my mind. I was doing what my father asked me to do. But then I got my first hit. He punched a little lower which I dozed successfully but was unable to doze his kick following his punch in the opposite direction. I flew in the air and crashed badly again the fibre wall of the cage. I fell down on the floor and coughed a little. As I had put a mask on my face, so the blood didn’t come out quickly but I felt that I coughed blood. It was my cue to end this cat-mouse chasing game.
