I woke up in my own bedroom. My body felt warm and I could feel a thick blanket on me. I tried to get up, but my head hurt too much.I looked around and noticed someone seated on a chair next to my bed. His head was rested on the side of my bed and he was asleep. I turned my body towards his face and tried to make out who it was.
My mind was fuzzy, and I could not recall what had happened.
"You're awake." he whispered.
I looked into his tired eyes and felt somewhat comforted.
“Are you okay?” David asked.
I realised what had happened and my heart sank. I fit weren't for him, something worse could have happened.
