Believing Is Seeing
April looked out the window at her destination. She could barely make out its shape from the glare of the sun reflecting back at her.
“Why is it so shiny?” she asked.
“It’s completely covered in brass,” Ivan told her. “And the airlock has no way for another ship to dock with it. Eccentric hermit. You’ve gone EVA before?”
“I lived in a shuttle colony once where we traveled from airlock to airlock in inflated bubbles,” April said.
“But never in a spacesuit?” he asked.
“No, those are way too rare.”
