Emma paddled out into the cool water and felt all the stress over the last few days melt away like the tide was pulling it out. There were a decent amount of surfers, and everyone had space. She hit several walls at first and was getting frustrated. Sitting back on her board and closing her eyes, she let the feelings flow. When was the last time she had been out here? As the water did its magic, Emma loosened up and felt like she had a better feel of the stick. Opening her eyes, she looked out, reading the water, and sensed a swell coming. Smiling, Emma let go and enjoyed the freedom of the waves. -- Several hours later, Emma rode in the last wave and held her stomach as it growled loudly.
