Chapter 5 (Declan)

I tell the cloaked man, "I'm not going anywhere with you, I need to be close in case she does harm to herself," I say. He looks at me with absolute admiration. He states, "Her parents would be so proud Declan Brown," He says. I stand there absolutely dumbfounded. He knew my name.

"Alright, spill," I make it evident that I'm in no mood to joke around. I am known in my parts to be a strong fierece leader. Some neighboring state packs dont mess with us. The cloaked man softly speak, "Please, lets go to my home across the street, her sister is there too."

My mind is blown. Just absolutley blown.

We walk across the street to the home of the cloacked man. When we we enter we see a woman standing there about my age... when Nate drops to his knees. He looks at the woman with tears in his eyes gasping his chest. She simply waves her hand pulling him to his feet. WHAT THE f**k! She stands in front of him, "Mate" she claims him and places her lips onto his. He grabs the back of her head and drinks her in. They pull apart, Nate breathless says, "Mate." She smiles, puts her hands out for both of us to shake.

She starts, "This is complicated in so many way shapes and forms. My name is Jennifer Aragon. My actual name is Lyla Jade Carpenter. I was adopted by my parents Kris and Jeff Aragon when they couldn't conceive and made friends with my uncle Sven, (She gestures to the cloaked man who has now removed it and is in a button down shirt. He looks like a nerd.) My uncle Sven was raising me when my parents were eliminated for the wrath they caused on the packs in the north. My parents both witch and warlock, were part of the master plan of eliminating werewolves. (I growl) Calm down buddy, my mate is your best friend," she explains. “Please understand, I’ve had time to adjust to this life. 2 years worth of learning and understanding. Chels, she hasn’t. This is going to take her by storm and I will make sure she adjusts and is surrounded by people who can protect her, but my past is terrible… so prepare yourself…”

Sven starts before she can begin, "My brother her father was a terrible man. His wife, my sister in law was a beautiful soul and whom I adored dearly. Before, the gods came to take those who wronged the world form natural selection - she brought me Ly..I mean Jennifer. She asked me take care of her, raise her. I couldn't, I had made an oath to the Alpha of the Sleeping Bear pack that I would protect his luna," He said. I look at him as if things are beginning to add up.

So, the luna line and alpha lines are still alive, I think to myself... as if reading my thoughts, "No not quite Declan. They were. I protected Kris until she became pregnant," he says. I entrupt, "That cant happen. A wolf can only mate with one mate - they can only have children with their one true mate," I say.

He smiles, "Yes, but... when the packs were eliminated I was able to get 2 individuals out - save them. I healed Luna Kris from the Sleeping Bear Pack her Alpha mate was Drew Leeger who passed away - I couldn't save him. But, I was able to save Jeff Lancaster the Alpha of 3 rivers pack. He changed his name and married Luna Kris - who lived across the street under the last name of Aragon. They tried and tried for a child, knew it wouldn't be possible but they felt so empty without their mate they wanted a child to bring them hope renewed after losing everyone and everything. When that couldn't happen and my sister brought me her child I gladly handed little Jen over to them to raise. We agreed to raise her normal and I would appear here and there to make sure she was ok. Luna Kris became pregnant not long after - The woman across the road who is about to become a werewolf is the true luna of 3 river and Sleeping Bear Packs. She is the remaining bloodline," He states.

I listen further and begin to understand. How on earth do I get to have her? Is she even going to want me - she is the true Alpha Luna if you will. I am just an imposter.

"No, Declan. You are far from an imposter. Your father traveled here right before his death, he found out about Kris and Jeff and needed to see it for himself - when word of this somehow got out, I couldn't save any of them. I was protecting Chelsea who was waiting for her parents to pick her up. There were werewolves waiting outside of the gym that night to rip her throat out- I cast a spell over her but needed to remain in focus of her to keep it strong enough. The packs down here wanted to wipe out the Aragons because they were the strongest wolf pack in the world together. So, they did. The car accident and your fathers accident was not a mistake or accident. The everglades pack here in Florida set out a bounty on all 3, luna included dead. They made it look like an accident. Your father got to speak to Jennifer and Chelseas mother - because Chelsea is due to come to college in Michigan this fall - and they were not sure if she would shift. They were preparing for all aspects of her life, making sure she would be protected when your father said he had a son around Jennifer's age. Jeff indicated to your father that both Jen and Chelsea would be going to Michigan because Jennifer would be protecting Chelsea."

We all look to Jennifer, who smiles this bright ass smile that is absolutely stunning. She is blonde hair blue eyed bombshell and Nate is absolutely drooling.

She chimes in, "I found out right after my parents died and Sven moved in across the street to keep a better eye on us, we taught me how to use my magic. My sister thinks I am still in college, I've been lying to her- but we couldn't tell her, we had to be sure she would shift. Which she clearly is, and I cant be around her because if she lashes out on me I might not be able to control my magic to stop her. Both of us are strong in our own ways. Our parents had no idea. Chelsea, is beyond strong and agile she is fierce and independent she loves a challenge and strives to be the best - but hates being in large groups such as school, it makes her uncomfortable. She wants to be a doctor. Sven has sensed that not only is Chelsea the purest bloodline there is for wolf, but she is unique too. I recall one time my mom spoke when she was pregnant with Chels that she healed super fast, which is normal for your heritage - the healing factor. But, my mom healed my fathers hand one evening after he cut it on a knife in the kitchen while she was pregnant. They didn't think anything of it, but Sven and now myself believe Chels to be a healer. She once broke her ankle in the 4th grade and walked on it the next day. I realize she is a wolf, but her wolf has not appeared yet," Jen states.

"Her wolfs name is Kali - Jennen my wolf met her tonight. She is trying to emerge I kept her at bay as she may have thrown herself in a coma if I hadent stopped. I've never seen someone transform so long... shes been coming to me in visions and dreams," I tell them.

Sven speaks up, "That is because she has been calling for you. She is the strongest wolf our world will ever see - unless you two have pups we might see stronger, but she will be incredibly strong. Its taking so long because both alpha lines are fighting over who triumphs. If she turns into a black wolf she took her dads alpha genes and if she turns in to a gray wolf she took her moms luna."

I look up at them all, "What does that mean for us?" I realize that seems like a stupid question after I ask. Sven jumps in, "Regardless, you are meant for each other - You just might have a tough cookie on your hands - and looking at the big picture, the wolves could use a strong woman as many were eliminated."

I smile with absolute love. I cant wait to be her mate. Sven asks us to stay the night here because tomorrow will be crucial for Chels and we all need to be ready. Jennifer eyes Nate and whispers, "You and I will get to know one another I expect pups in your future too - but for now, we focus on our pack." Nates heart swells, I can see it. He leans over, "You will come with me," he asks? She kisses him passionately, "It never was even up for debate, my home is with you and my sister and my new alpha. If you will have me." I look to her, I take out a knife dig my hand place the knife in her hand she does the same to her own we shake and she is in our mind link - just like that. I hear the pack back in Michigan going insane that Nate found his mate and we have a new female beta!

Now tomorrow, I get to finally see my mates eyes open...
