Iris looked at that man who openly brought his mistress to court. She knows that there is nothing wrong with her and that there is no excuse to cheating. Despite their rocky start, she has been nothing but faithful and even helped this bastard in his career. Now that he slapped her on the face like this, there is no going back.

An hour later.

After delivering the closing statements. They were waiting for the judge to make the rulling. Vivian was glaring at Iris the whole time while sitting down on the first row with Samantha. She had to settle out of court with her law suit because everything was now in the open. Iris asked for $1.5 million. It was only after the back and forth that she found out that the money that Martin spent on her was about 3 million and that it was taken out of their joint account.

Everyone who was at the baby shower was appalled and couldn't say anything because iris just wanted her money. Iris worked hard for that money for martin to spend it on another woman. Vivian who didn't have that much money due to her lavish lifestyle had to borrow from Martin to pay it. The only comfort was that she knew that she was having a son.

The judge was about to speak when a loud scream was heard. They looked over to see Vivian with blood coming out of her. She was horrified. Martin turned pale and disregarded his lawyer and the situation he was in before running to her side.

" Your honor, we will go with your rulling. My lawyer will handle the rest. A human life is at stake here." Martin said before running out of there.

An hour later.

" Wow , i didn't think that she would actually go through with it. " Harlow said as he held the divorce certificate and the list of assets that now belonged to Iris.

" Who?" Iris who was still in shock asked.

" That Vivian. I overheard her earlier before the court started, she was near the restroom talking to someone about inducing labor or faking a miscarriage so that Martin will stop resisting the divorce even if it meant that he had to give you the things you want. " He said.

" That is so messed up. What if she loses the child because of that? It looked like it was serious. Anyway, my life here is over. I don't see myself returning in the foreseeable future." Iris said.

" Do you think that Vivian will blame you if anything happens to her child?" Harlow asked.

" She definitely will. I don't know her very well but from what i saw from the report, i wouldn't put it past her. It is too early for her to give birth and i find it fishy that she chose this method, the baby might not be martin's child after all. Technology is very advanced so we'll see. It is out of my hands now." Iris said.

" Okay, let's go fetch my nephew. Leslie called earlier and she just told me that she heard that Jacob's wife might be pregnant with her forth child and she's convinced that it is a boy. Our mother is over the moon and no longer cares about Blaze. Well, Leslie is also pregnant but she is too scared to tell mom right now. Knowing that you are coming back, i feel like Cami might target the both of them." Harlow said.

" Ask Leslie to take him to your place. Have the nanny take care of the both of them. It's best to hold on to your news until the pregnancy is stable. Congratulations brother " Iris said with a smile. She knew how much Harlow and Leslie were trying to have a child since they got married. They were even starting to lose some hope.

" I know, i am so excited. I just sent the text. Good thinking on taking the last laggage with us. How did you know that Martin will not fight for custody and you taking blaze out of this country?" Harlow asked.

" That is what i am also puzzled about. You saw his determination when we got to the court house. He didn't even have a problem when the judge granted me full custody and the amount of money my lawyer asked as part of the settlement. Something smells fishy but it is no longer my business. " Iris said.

" Can I investigate it?" Harlow asked. He was prepared to do anything to help his sister. He was partially the reason why she had to marry this man in the first place.

" Let it be. What Vivian did will serve as back up if he and his family decided to go back on their word in the future. I have enough money to raise my son and the reason why i asked for that money is because he made it because of me!. I won't raise an ingrate." She said.

" That is fine. " Harlow said but he was intrigued. Martin will go after whatever he wants and if he wanted blaze, he would have done everything necessary even if it meant playing dirty but he didn't. He will secretly investigate it.

" Let's go. This car will be shipped to my house in a month and it's the only thing left in this place." She said.

" You do know that you just won a few properties here right? " Harlow said.

" I did didn't i?" Iris said.

" That's practically half of his assets. " he said.

" He thinks that is his contribution towards our son. You saw his mother, he also thinks all of my wealth will belong to Blaze. " She said with a smile.

" That is a twisted way of thinking but it is logical. I'm guessing that is the reason he put up an additional clause that we can't change blaze's last name? " He asked.

" That is true. Anyway, forget about them. Whatever happens in the future has nothing to do with me. Sister in law must be nervous now that she found out that she was pregnant. Otherwise she wouldn't have told you that over the phone." Iris said and the boarded the plane.

It took four hours on the air and they finally landed. They went to Harlow 's house in the suburbs where blaze was. Iris 's house is currently being cleaned and so they will be spending the night there. She was exhausted but that all went away as soon as she saw her son. She just hugged him and smiled. Blaze was in tears after seeing his mother for the first time in months. One of his classmates already told him that his parents are getting a divorce.

He was worried that his father would take him away from his mother. Thankfully that didn't happen. He has always been very smart and he knew that his father didn't like him at all. He can count all the times his father spent with him with his hand. He couldn't explain it but he always felt that his father was angry towards him somehow.

" Baby, mom doesn't like seeing you cry. You know that right?" Iris softly said.

" I know mommy. But I missed you very much" He said in his childish voice.

" I missed you too. Alright, it is way past your bedtime mister. Let's go sleep. We have a long day ahead of us. " She said. She exchanged a few pleasantries with her sister in law and said goodnight to the both of them. She already at on the plane. She figured that they might need some time alone together. She went to guest room Blaze was staying in and took a quick shower.

She then proceeded to read her son's favorite book. They both slept very peacefully. The following morning they left after breakfast and Iris took blaze to their new home. She didn't even bother calling the old residence to tell them about her arrival. That place brings back bad memories and unless unnecessary, she will never step foot there. She breathed a huge sigh of relief when she saw how clean and tidy the whole place was.

She and blaze stopped by the grocery store and she bought all the necessities they needed. She will shop for others later. She has already enrolled blaze in a new school and he will officially start attending in a week. The school is one of the top schools and it has an honor program suitable for blaze. Her son was that smart despite his age. Blaze felt like weight was finally lifted of his shoulders when he saw his room. It was only then that he accepted that his father was never going to take him away from his mother.

Back in Sunrise Country

" Congratulations sir, the madam has given birth to a son. She is fine but the young master is taken to the NICU and all the doctors are trying to save him. He is born earlier due to unknown reasons and we found an unknown drug in both the madam and the young master. It is taken to the lab for testing but the head surgeon said that madam may have taken some type of inducing medication. The young master was already was already frail due to a genetic disorder and the medication harmed him due to being born early.

The reason why i am here is to find out if any of you know the name or the content of the drug? We don't know how much harm it will do to the young master and knowing the content will help us prepare in case it causes harm" The doctor said. Due to Vivian 's condition, she was transferred to the first hospital and not the third hospital she had arranged. She was passed out on the way and the hospital was changed due to their fear of something wrong happening.

" What did you just say?" Martin asked not sure what he was hearing.

" What genetic condition? The gynaecologist didn't say anything about a genetic issues during appointments" Samantha said wide eyed.

" Her medical records didn't have any genetic testing and sometimes it doesn't show during scans. " The doctor explained to Samantha.

" She induced labor? " Martin was wide eyed as he looked at his mother. He knew as soon as he looked at her that she probably knew about this.

" How would i know?" Samantha said not daring to look at her son.

" What drug did she take?" He asked.

" Ask her when she wakes up. I can't be with her 24/7 can i?" Samantha said.

" Mom , i probably lost more than half of my assets because i ran out of there before the judge made a ruling, all for this? I was planning to negotiate on using money to buy out Iris ' s shares in my company. I am the party at fault here!! She has records, she has proof and all of the things you said and did behind my back will count as evidence mother!! Your second grandson 's life is at stake at this moment, if you know something, tell the truth." Martin yelled.

" I heard her talking to her uncle yesterday about inducing labor. I really didn't think that she would go through with it knowing how much she loves my grandson. " Samantha said.

" Okay , call him and ask. We have to save him. " Martin said.

" Okay." Samantha said and went outside to take the call.

" Doc, my family doesn't have any history of genetic conditions. Do you have any idea what it might be?" Martin asked once his mother was away.

" Maybe there is in the madam 's family? Her medical report shows that she's always been healthy so i thought that maybe it was from your side. The doctors are working on saving the baby at this moment. From what the leading doctor said, she said that it is highly likely to be FXS commonly known as Fragile X syndrome. It is an inherited genetic disorder." The doctor said.

" Can you do me a favor and conduct on more test, my mother or girlfriend should not knowing about this" Martin said in a low voice.

" As long as it's within my ability." The doctor said. Samantha came back a few minutes later and found Martin alone at the waiting area.

" Where is the doctor? " She asked.

" I asked her to check on my son. Go tell tell the nurse whatever information you have found. " Martin said with a blank look on his face. He was visibly exhausted.

" Martin, i didn't know she would go this far for you. I know that she desperately wants to be married to you. As long as it involves you, she would lose all her rational. " Samantha said. She was very scared. She finally got rid of that Iris and she lost a grandson in the process. At least this one will look like her son.

" That doesn't excuse her excuse of putting my child in danger. The child was saved and they are testing whatever genetic condition he has plus his overall health condition. Do we have any condition in our family?" He asked his mother.

" Not that i know off, your paternal uncle has one but that is the only person i know of. We don't have any in my family but I'll ask. Your dad is on his way, we'll see what he says." She said.

" The young uncle i never met?" Martin asked.

" Yes, that one." she said looking very conflicted.
