You look familiar

As soon as Dave arrived a day later, he went straight to the next door house to meet Jesse. He was taken aback as soon as he saw him. He was sure that he saw his picture somewhere. Then he went to inspect the Raven car that he had recently released while trying to figure out where he saw Jesse. Patrick noticed that and he frowned in deep thought.

" Why do you keep looking at me like that? " Jesse asked finally.

" It's nothing, you look familiar but i am not sure where i had seen your picture from. I would ask Iris but she lost part of her memory after that accident " Dave said.

" Lost her memory? " Patrick asked. He is a doctor after all.

" Yeah, she doesn't remember anything from college. Including the identity of blaze's father. It was that pig who came with a DNA report that he was the biological father that we knew. Although i still don't believe it. She does have flash backs from time to time but it isn't major to the point where she had to stop trying to remember due to painful headaches. A shrink told us that it is psychological barrier.

Anyway, i will try to remember and it is okay if i don't. The material that made this car is mine but the design isn't. Can you send me the purchase records ? I will try to trace it and see who it is that is trying to sell this kind of low class products. It's like an automatic bomb waiting to explode. " Dave said.

" What do mean by automatic bomb? " Patrick asked

" Whoever gave or sold you this car either wants to kill you or doesn't like you. As cute as it is, it has a lot of problems. Driving it for a while will lead to an explosion with all the comedic wires inside. The engine is old despite it looking new. It also has a lot of problems. I will issue a statement and release pictures of our engine online and let everyone know that we only made 30 cars of this model. I know every single person who bought it and those i gifted. Everyone who owns it is registered as an owner and has access to the VIP service for maintenance. " Dave said as he looked under the car.

" Wow, it should be the person who sold it. Do you have any questions Jesse? " Adam asked his friend who has been spacing out.

" No questions, where do we go from here? " Jesse asked Dave.

" Report it to the police and the car association in this country. Also ask how your mother bought it. As soon as i lodge an investigation and launch a law against those who own this imitations , she might as well get a lawyer to protect herself and i will really like it if she cooperate with my team in the investigation. I will keep your name out of it. I will be staying next door for a while. " Dave said.

" Okay , thank you. I will keep you updated with the case. " Jesse said. The talked a few more and said goodbye to Dave and Blaze who was doing his homework on top of his mother 's car. They went back to the bar in Jesse 's house.

" So care to share the reason why you were so awkward near Iris and you kept asking Dave questions about her memory loss. " Patrick asked Jesse who has been quite since they came back.

" It's her isn't it?" Adam asked.

" Who? " Patrick asked him.

" Jesse over here had a secret girlfriend when we were in college who went to the neighboring law school. He refused to talk about him and refused to go overseas 9 years ago for her. I don't know what changed after he came back drunk with hickeys on his neck. He kept crying, saying that he betrayed her. He then packed his stuff and took the scholarship the school was offering for his master's degree. " Adam said.

* If he was the one who betrayed her, why was he so rude to her as soon as he moved here? He went as far as to throw a huge party just to annoy her forgetting that all the houses here are soundproofed. " Patrick asked.

" What else is it if it wasn't to get her attention. I guess his ego got bruised when she didn't recognize him the first day he coincidentally moved here. " Adam said while mixing up different types of alcohol.

" You will kill yourself with alcohol one day Adam. " Jesse said.

" don't try to change the subject. So what's going with you and Iris? " Patrick asked.

" She is my first love i guess. Well the only woman that I've ever loved. We fought because of that scholarship opportunity. She was the one who applied for me. She was accepted into a prestigious college overseas and she wanted us to go together after i proposed to her. My mom and her father were against our relationship due to cultural differences or whatever it is that they didn't like.

Her father even went as far as the look for a partner for her and my mother kept introducing Italian woman to me. She had problems with her family and wanted us to start a family far away from them. I just wanted to stay here close to my family. " Jesse said.

" Then what happened?. " Adam asked.

" My mom happened. She invited me to her house with the intention of giving me my grandmother's wedding ring. I thought that she wanted to give us her blessings. After drinking her, tea , i started feeling hot. I got out of there and went back to my apartment before blanking out. I woke up the following day naked and a red spot on the bed covers as well as sticky evidence of s****l intercourse.

I knew that my mother was behind that and went to look for Iris to apologize but i couldn't find her anywhere. I then decided to take the scholarship abroad to look for her. That's when the rumors about her started and she was married to that prick. I was so angry that i left that very same day. It was only a month later that i found out what happened from a close friend of hers that her father was the one behind what happened to her. She looked miserable in wedding pictures.

It was only two years ago that i ran to her half sister in London that she told me that Iris had told her about the two of us. She didn't know what happened but she knew that Iris had no love attachment to

Martin. They had two separate bedrooms and Iris spent most of her time looking after Blaze on her own. She also said that they still haven't figured out how Iris was attacked years ago. " Jesse said.

" You suspect that your mother did it? " Patrick who knew Jesse very well asked.

" Who else but her could do something like this? The night i was drugged was the very same night that Iris was also drugged. Jasmine said that she suspects that Martin is exaggerated the hero saving the damsel story a little too much for it to be real, she just doesn't have proof for that. She called me last night and asked me to do another DNA test between blaze and Martin when she heard that i was living next to Iris. She wants it done by me personally and she sent both their samples a few hours ago. I don't know how she got them though. She believes that Iris isn't safe back here for some reason. " Jesse said.

" You believe that the sample is Martin 's and Blaze's? " Adam asked.

" Jasmine works in the intelligence unit and we all know how much all the siblings love Iris. She doesn't trust hospitals because Martin has a lot of involvement in the health industry. " Patrick said.

" So, are you going to do it? " Adam asked.

" I will. I owe it to her to find out what happened." Jesse said.

" You might as well add another sample to the mix. " Patrick said.

" With who? " Jesse asked.

" You. " Patrick said.

" That's ridiculous. " Jesse said.

" Come on, think about it. You and Iris were drugged on the same day. Nobody knew about your apartment except for you and Iris. I only found out about it after you got drunk that night. She collapsed in the hotel room she was staying in and nobody knew who blaze's father was until Martin showed up. He doesn't have proof of what happened and her father was the one who wanted her to marry him.

It wouldn't matter who she slept with as long as he married her. As for who attacked iris? That happened a week after you were both drugged. You separated and she was forced to marry Martin. Both of your families got what they wanted. You have never been with any women except that night. Don't forget that Blaze is the complete version of Iris and has no resemblance of martin. You both have the same smiles." Adam said.

" Oh god, this can't be what i am thinking about. " He said.

" Just do it. Blaze is right next door if you don't trust the samples, you can do one for you and him just to rule out the possibility. Iris doesn't remember anything including you and it could be because she has some misunderstanding about what happened back then or she doesn't remember. Also check your mother's location and that of your crazy cousin the night she was attacked. You ha a lab right inside your house. " Patrick said.

" I'll do the test first. I'll start with the samples sent by jasmine first. " He said.

" Okay. What are you going to do with the car? " Adam asked.

" Call my mother after lodging a complaint with the car association. Something tells me that my cousins might be involved in this. They've been acting weird since my father got sick. And that cousin of mine stopped trying throw herself at me for five years now and she is too close to my father now. " He said.

" I'll check it out. A friend of mine is dating her. I'll ask him to check it out. " Patrick said.

" Who, your boyfriend? " Adam asked.

" Boyfriend? " Jesse asked.

" Yeah, he's totally banging him. I saw them at a bar a week ago and they were all over each other. He doesn't have any other friends except for us." Adam said.

" You guys knew? " Patrick asked clearly shocked.

" That you like man? " Jesse asked him.

" Yeah. When did you guys find out? " Patrick asked.

" From the beginning. We know you had a thing for the class representative back in highschool. " Adam said.

" And you didn't say anything? " Patrick asked.

" We love you just the way you are buddy. We were waiting for you to tell us. Why do you think we kept introducing you to guys after your messy break up? " Adam said and they both laughed.
