I knew one thing for certain , through the danger and everything else. I would never, not want her now I knew her. Now I had tasted her and seen her. Reaching in my pocket , I pulled out the small vile I had brought with me and looked down at the liquid inside of it. I looked down at it and smirked. " You know me and Conrad have always had an understanding. If we ever scented our mates, we would stay clear. We would have our scents changed and move on. It was what was best for them. Conrad did it , he found Kate long before I found you. It was before she moved to this region. He left her there and left her behind him, just like we said. He never even told me he had found her. It wasn't until he bumped into her in this region that he came clean. We had our scents changed just as we agreed.
