It was the day the impossible became possible - something that he imagined to never happen in his entire life to happen in front of his eyes, and it was not due to the insanity and utter improbability regarding said situation, no... it was due to it giving him hope, putting him onto a better path and the fact that it was a day that he figured out that whatever happened was the something that only he could do. First, let's go to the start of this story.
We're following Nixon Driver Jr., a young man with shaved sides and long blonde hair, his eyes looking as if faded, making him look blind when in reality he isn't, they are just unnaturally grey. His hair was tied up in a ponytail, glasses sitting on the bridge of his nose. The college that Nixon goes to is very different from a lot of the colleges that we know of nowadays, having a system that encourages the strong to oppress the weak, so those who are stronger physically or mentally are always those who brutally beat down the weaker students within the college.
A group of students being headed by one of the topmost members within the MMA club is the leader of said group, and one person that his eyes were set on was Nixon himself. Nixon was brutally beaten by this group at least once a weak and of course, Nixon could not fight back and no one could stop them. The leader of this club, Martin Escoria was considered one of the strongest in the school at the time because of his pure unadulterated strength, easily getting out of any fight that he would get himself in, either by grapple or by hand to hand combat with pure muscle density.
On one particular day, a new student had arrived at the school. They had short black hair, wearing glasses with a striped shirt and khakis, they looked to be of Asian descent, this was going to be their new target and everyone there knew that. A young Asian girl who had frequently hung out with Nixon had realized this but decided not to interfere, knowing what they would've possibly done to her due to other stories that were told about Martin and his gang. Coincidentally, that same day what they all had predicted had come true, Nixon being dragged into it.
Martin had brought both the young Asian man and Nixon into a secluded area, Martin's goons surrounding them on all sides, leaving no way for them to escape. Nixon was made into an example, being beaten half to death by Martin's hands. A broken nose, two broken ribs, bruising on almost every part of his body. It was par the course for Nixon but he could never get used to the pain, for every single day the pain only got worse as Martin started holding back less and less as if he understood that Nixon would get used to it more and more. The young Asian man sat and watched with a blank expression as this happened until finally, Martin got bored, throwing Nixon to the side.
"You see! This is what happens if you don't obey me from now on!" Beforehand, Martin had told the young man to follow all of his directions from that point on, of course, no demand doesn't come without an example, and Nixon was the perfect target for such a thing to happen. "Well, that's if you can beat me. I'm Martin Escoria, you?"
"Ji-ho Baek."
"Oh~? What 'Asian' are you, Jap, c***k?"
"I'm Korean, not native."
Martin blew rhythmic air from his nose as if chuckling, "Well, alright, so... I give you the option, fight, or become my b***h, which is it?"
"Fight," He said this, throwing his glasses to the ground, "What was even the f*****g point if this was going to happen..." He mumbled to himself, cracking his neck.
"You want to fight!?" Martin broke into hysterical laughter, "You want to fight me!? With your lanky a-" Quickly cut off by a punch, his head being thrown back. It was a blur, but the last thing they all saw was Martin falling to the floor, knocked out, nose broken. Everyone in the group watched in horror as the young Ji-ho remained unscathed.
"Next?"
One after another, whether it was a kick or a punch, nobody could see it. When people would attempt to grapple him, he would quickly submit them before switching back into a standing stance without any wasted movements. When people tried ganging up on him, either by one grappling, or two on one, he would put them down, even if the number continued to pile up over time, as they tried to group upon him more and more and more, they were all rendered useless by the end of it. Broken arms, broken jaws, ribs, noses, limbs that were completely torn apart by a simple punch.
Nixon was able to see all of this, not just witnessing it either no... Nixon was able to piece it together as well. Nixon was the only one there that could see Ji-ho's movement, then Nixon had a realization.
For all of his life, he had seen objects that would normally be faster to anyone else as slower in comparison but had never thought of it until now. Nixon was annoyed by his own incompetence, and for not realizing earlier that... fighting, looks so fun. These words cemented what Nixon wanted to do from now on, "Only the pathetic do not fight back."
Yes... this desire. Nixon for the first time wanted to beat someone... Nixon wanted to fight Ji-ho and he wanted to win. A desire that normally boiled within so many people in the school the desire to fight, the primal urge to beat someone down and looking in satisfaction with a smile on your face, knowing you're the strong one, Nixon wanted this feeling to enrapture his entire body.
