The lights in the club were obnoxiously bright as I sat down in a private booth and drank from my glass of whiskey. It was late and I was incredibly anxious. All my instincts were forcing me back home with Lacey but this was important business. Just a few more minutes. I nursed my glass of whiskey, slushing it around and taking another long sip. My mind was everywhere but the present. Packs agitated into another war with each other, the Romanians flying all the way to the capital in panic with their lands being overthrown, my mate in danger. The only thing keeping me in control instead of my wolf wreaking havoc through the nightclub was the fact that I could feel Lacey in deep sleep.  Safe. Unharmed. Well guarded. Lacey. Lacey. Lacey.
