The next morning I woke up and rushed to get dress. I had to see Riley. I wanted to know if she’s awake, how’s she feeling, and ask her if she saw the person that did this to her. I grabbed my keys and ran towards the door before Zane’s voice stopped me in my tracks. “I’ve been waiting for you.” He sat there at the dining room table reading a newspaper. I took in the sight of him. How does one look as handsome as he does? He doesn’t have to try hard. “No good morning?” I asked. His eyes narrowed and he pressed his lips together. “I figured you weren’t a morning person.” He says. “It seems like I’m starting to become one. Especially these last few days.” I said. The room fell silent and I spoke first to break the awkwardness. “Anyway, I’m going to see Riley.” Zane sat
