Maximo agreed, and he took me to see Theo. My heart was thumping loudly in my chest with anticipation of what was going to happen next.
Max took me out of this room for the first time in a week. I was so relaxed and able to breathe in the fresh air as I finally stepped out of my luxurious prison.
We sat inside the car, and Carter drove us to where Theo was kept. I still didn't know where Max had imprisoned him.
The car moved toward the outskirts of the city. I glanced out of the car window. The place was void of any houses, buildings, or even humans.
After driving for a while, I noticed a tall white building coming into sight.
