Chapter 15

Mia's POV (Surprise!)

My son is right before me in vulnerable pain. His pain is ten times more than an average wolf's first shift. Being the most powerful Lunar Wolf comes with its own pain too.

I didn't know I was crying until Jaxon brought me into his arms. I sobbed like a baby unable to watch my son whining in pain.

His leg turned into a paw and in moments it turned back into a human leg again. His pain was so tough that my son cried for the first time ever. I just couldn't watch it.

"He will make it!" Jaxon whispered in my ears and thanked my mate bond! It soothed a little.

Derek let out a loud scream that would even bleed werewolf's ears. I looked at my son who now has almost lifeless eyes. He was looking at me and Jaxon! His eyes were filled with tears.

Being the strongest Lunar Wolf just makes the pain much more worse.

And within moments he laid unconscious on the dried grass. Skye started sobbing out loud in Tyler's arms looking at Derek.

"He will make it!" Jaxon whispered again with his eyes only on our son.

Out of blue a little snowflake rolled down my cheek. I looked up only to see snow! It's like winter. But how did the Sunny atmosphere change to winter all of a sudden?

Jaxon and I looked at each other with wide eyes! That's it!!! We know where this is coming from.

Derek's body jerked and his bones started snapping slowly. We saw his hands and legs changing into paws. His nose stretched to form a snout and his ears perked up.

My son just finished his first shift and he is a Grey Wolf! Mixture of Black and White.. even his wolf takes after his parents wolves.

The first person the wolf ran into was Jaxon. The wolf stood so tall that Jaxon had to stand on his toes to reach the face of the wolf. Jaxon rubbed the fur making Derek's wolf let out a wolfy giggle.

Derek's wolf then nudged me with his snout asking in for a hug. He looked at me with golden eyes that twinkled with happiness. And I gladly gave the hug. Jaxon and I hugged Derek's wolf while the wolf just enjoyed the warmth. And just like that... It's sunny again.

Derek's moods are changing! And so is the weather. His wolf is finally gaining control over Derek's body and mind.

"Do you know how to shift back?" Jaxon asked.

The big wolf head bobbed up and down letting us know that he knows how to shift back. After playing with Tyler and Skye for a while Derek gained control with the help of Lunar Wolf.

But as soon as he shifted back to human form he fell on to the ground. The Lunar Wolf shift drained all his energy and he can't be blamed.

We rushed him to the pack hospital and the doctor just advised that Derek needs rest. Lunar Wolf is so powerful that not even a bit of energy is left in Derek. By the time he turns 18 and will officially be the Alpha King, he could get the ability to control his wolf without wasting his energy or the power.

We took him back to the pack house and he is now asleep.

"I am already proud of him. He made through the worst first shift" I whispered while Jaxon nodded.

We walked to the living room where Tyler and Skye were in deep discussion.

"What's wrong?" I asked them.

"Maybe he should stop going to human school," Tyler said.

"And why?" I quickly asked back.

"Because now that he got his wolf , which might I add is the most powerful out there... He will be the target of many supernatural creatures! And sending him to human territory when he doesn't know much about many supernatural species.. is a lot riskier than it appears" Skye tried to explain.

"I've been thinking about it too!" Jaxon said that made all the three of us calm down.

Maybe they are true. Right now, we can't trust anyone. And all day while he is alone without any security , anything might happen. Which is not good for the werewolf race.

I sighed and nodded. Jaxon brought his arms around me and I melted in the warmth. All these years and his love is still the same. He kissed my forehead and whispered that he loves me. That brought a smile to my face.

"Alpha king! Queen!!"

The mindlink made us alert again. It's from the border patrol.

"What's the matter?" Jaxon didn't waste a second.

"There is a teen girl at the borders. She is human. And she says she wants to meet the prince"

"ok! Let her in.!" Jaxon permitted and the mindlink closed with it.

"Who might she be?" I asked as he shrugged.

"Our son studies in a human school. So we can expect human teen guests" Jaxon rolled his eyes.

In a few minutes knocked a petite girl with green eyes. She was nervous but as soon as she saw me I saw an unreadable emotion in her eyes. She glared at Jaxon and then asked us where Derek was.

"Would you mind telling us who you are first?" My voice came off so stern.

She is merely a teen! And if she is Derek's friend like we thought, then she must know that we are his parents. Glaring is not the proper way to greet your friends' parents!!

"Lana Claire. Derek's friend" she rolled her eyes.

"Now would you mind telling me where he is?" she asked again.

I don't like her at all! Where is this bad attitude coming from? And why?

"He is in his room. Upstairs. First one on the right" Jaxon said in broken sentences. Something he does when he doesn't like someone.

She practically ran to the instructed direction.

"Kian! Kevin!!" Skye yelled, making both the twins run up to us from their rooms.

"Who is this Lana girl?" She asked her sons and I just waited for an answer.

"How do you know about her mom?" Kian questioned back with a shocked expression.

Skye just glared at them, which made them shut their mouths up and tell us about her.

"She is Lana. Derek's friend at school" Kevin spoke.

"Oh that we know! Friend as in how? To a point where she knows where he lives? The pack lands??" I asked him and he looked shocked again.

"Lana is here?" Kevin asked again.

"She is just so innocent and that made Derek want to protect her from everyone. She couldn't even slap a girl back who slapped her. That's how she is. Kevin and I are good friends with her too" Kian said.

Kian is more sensible than Kevin as always.

"Yeah! Lana is here. She is up in Derek's room. You can go see her if you want" Tyler said, which made the twins smile and run to her.

She is innocent?

But that doesn't add up to what just happened a few minutes ago. She glared at us like she hates us and like she knows something.

"Tyler! I need all the information about this girl. Contact our human informers. Right now!!" Jaxon ordered.

Tyler scurried off to know who this girl is.

"I don't like her" came Abigail's voice.

I didn't even pay attention to her and I don't even know for how long she stood in the corner looking at everything happening.

"You don't like her?" Jaxon asked, pulling our daughter into his arms.

"Yeah! She disrespected my parents. And I don't like her" she mumbled, which made Jaxon smile.

"I don't want her to be around Derek. She is a bad influence" She whispered again.

"I promise!" Jaxon whispered back with a kiss on her forehead.
