Derek's POV
*Time Skip* (2 months)
"Yes , Prince!" They said in Unison.
"Do update me about any sort of bloodsucker activities. We can't take risks at this time" My voice was authoritative.
"Yes Prince!" They bowed.
"Not the South, put the focus on the East. Nowadays the East has become their main target" I heard his voice coming towards us.
I looked at my dad and rolled my eyes. I've been avoiding him since that incident and I pretty much used that time to focus on the pack, supernatural issues and the title day. The new rule is that there will be a combat between me and him , whoever wins will have the title. So I have to show him that I'm worthy.
"But they are more active towards the South" I said looking at the patrol team.
"That is their tactic. When we focus on the South just because they are active, they send troops through the East since the dense Forest there would be easy to get in," He said.
"How are you so sure?" I asked him, looking straight into his eyes.
"Because I know! I'm the King and not you! You barely know the issues" his voice was stern.
"Put the focus on the East" he ordered and the patrol team bowed before leaving.
It's like all the time I talked to them was wasted and he just had to insult my abilities before them. This is all he had done. Criticize me just because I am strong. That I'm nothing without my powers.
"It's tomorrow!" He said.
"Yes! I know it very well" I smirked.
I have my own plans and I know what to do, to make him go far away.
"And you also know I am your trainer right?" He smirked.
"Haven't you heard of students reaching greater heights than their teachers?" I smiled.
"We'll see" he left without turning back.

"Good morning Mom!" I hugged her before walking to the dining room to have my breakfast.
She just patted my back once and nodded. Something is definitely off.
"What is it?" I asked her while eating a spoonful of scrambled eggs.
"This isn't how I raised you," she muttered.
"Like how exactly?" I asked her.
"Disrespectful! Heart filled with hatred. Unable to listen to the other side and badass sarcastic" she huffed.
"My mom also taught me to do what I feel is right" I said that made her glare at me.
I lost my appetite with this argument. I stood up and walked to the training grounds. The combat starts in a few minutes and I am more than sure about the result.
I got dressed in the training outfit and walked out to see the crowd already gathered at the clearing. They were talking to Dad, making me huff. This is going to be the first combat for the Alpha King title. Since dad is made one, I have my expectations and confidence in my skills. I am trained by the Alpha King himself.
"So ... Everyone please have your seats. Thank you for gathering to witness the Alpha King title combat. Let's hope the best wins" Uncle Tyler yelled making the pack members clap.
He and I are now face to face. I was waiting for a chance to make him fool himself and use that to defeat him. But he beat me to it by tricking me to use my left when he focused on my right leg. I fell down and he smirked.
Can't you do this right?" He yelled.
"It's just a simple trick Derek!" He yelled and punched my jaw.
"Let's try again" he said and he was already in his defensive stance.
I tried to do the same thing he taught me. I put my left leg in the front with a swing and let my right leg loose. But in an instant I tried to hit him with my left leg, not giving him a chance to get hold of my loose right leg.
But he was two steps ahead of me. He grabbed my left leg while he held my right, lifted me up in the air and threw me on the ground.
I fell with a thud.
Thunders and lightning covered the sunny sky out of blue. I was told that I was the most powerful in the supernatural race. I was born to the strongest Alpha and Luna with a Lunar Wolf. They said they got paired so they could create the strongest pup which was me.
But little did they know this is actually a curse.
A curse I will live with.
A curse I want to wipe out but can't.
A curse that tells everyone how I feel even if I hide.
A curse I got because of my parents.
Mom always says I should grow up like my dad. But all he ever did was train me, criticize me that I am nothing without my powers. And that is his way of making me strong? Bull s**t!!! I may be different but I have Alpha Blood running through my veins and I won't tolerate him training me even if he is my dad.
Alpha Jaxon Malloy. The most respected and the most loved Alpha by all the packs. They made him the Alpha King a few years ago. Alpha King my foot!
"So you are angry now?" He asked, grinning at me.
"Try to fight me and show why you deserve to rule the strongest pack in the world. Fight me without your powers Mr.Derek Malloy" his nostrils flared.
"And when I defeat you, Alpha King Jaxon Malloy, I want you to leave the pack and never come back" I challenged him.
"Challenge accepted. Fight me without your powers and then talk to me punk"
And with this.. My mom, me and Abigail would live happily ever after without that Alpha.
"Shut up Derek '' I heard my mom's voice. "He is your father for Goodness sake"
"Let him Mia" He smiled and I felt disgusted.
I don't want to grow up like him. I don't want to be him. I don't like him.
And so, I will defeat him and kick him out of the pack. So that he never comes back. He should never come back. Maybe he can find another woman for his needs just like he did before finding his mate.
Who even does that?! To his own mate!! I hate him with everything I have in me!
I smirked looking at him. And now, he'll pay for everything he did to my mom. I ran towards him, making him stand in his own stance. I raised my right arm as if I was punching him. It took him a second to decide his counter stance and I used that time to hit his legs making him fall.
He fell down and I didn't have any intentions of giving him any chance to attack so I kept on punching everywhere I could. He is good in defense as well. He didn't let me throw any punches.
"Derekkk" came from a voice that made me stop everything I was doing.
