I watched the path he disappeared in, my chest heaving hard. I wasn't sure what to make of what he had said, or what he now meant, or even what we both were. I was here, feeling a little liberated, yet apprehensive and just majorly confused. Confused because I wasn't sure what would come. It took a while, but Nikolai soon emerged, a small smile on his face. "I know pancakes are not exactly dinner, but I haven't had time to go shopping. Maybe you could help me with that?"
