I sat on the edge of the bed alone, my eyes staring off at the light grey walls. Nikolai was gone now, but his taste on my lips lingered longer than ever. I could see his eyes, hear the pain in his voice. I could feel it all deep within me, and I hated that I had contributed to that. I hated that in the end, I was the pain he had inked on his skin. Slowly, I pulled myself to stand, then grabbed my phone. I had forgotten all about it, but it had messages and missed calls, over fifty of them. I didn't bother answering a single one and simply grabbed one of Nikolai's hoodies. It was large, and I stalked out of the house.
