NIKOLAI'S P.O.V. I took in a sharp breath as the door finally closed behind me, and I rested my back on it, my eyes fluttering to a close. I wondered what would have happened had Iris opened that box. I looked down at it, then sighed as I slowly unwrapped the package. It was as usual. A pack of injections. I sighed and peeled myself off the door, then removed the shirt I was wearing and tossed it to the floor. I sat on the edge of the bed, one leg crossed under the other as I slowly brought one syringe out. It never got easier. None of it did.
