Sweat roll down Rachel's back. It was so humid in the wagon that it became to hard to breathe. Rachel looked around at the other 11 people riding in the covered wagon with her three of them men the rest women. There were four wagons carrying 12 passengers a piece out of all 48 only seven of them were male. Christina the Young strawberry blonde sitting to Rachel's left had commented on it the first day of how few men are traveling to the planet with them. Chrissy has she said everyone called her had leached on to Rachel at orientation when they were introduced to the spaceship and crew they will be traveling with. No matter how hard Rachel tried to shake her, Christy would not stop pestering her endless questions about her life and why she was moving to a far off planet in outer space. Rachel was tight-lipped about her reasons for going to a new home she didn't want anyone to know that she was Rachel McLane sister to Richard McLane CEO of McLane Technologies. Richard was going to marry her to him to seal the deal, claiming that after the death of their parents Rachel needed the stability and family that Alan can provide her, but Rachel was not going to sit by idly and be used as her brother's pawn for his dreams of world domination. Rachel knew that all her brothers money could be used to track her down if she was to run away. no town no City no state no country no continent would be safe for her. The only choice she had was to sign up to immigrate to Planet Nevaeh. For 2 months Rachel subjected herself to interview after interview. showing that she was a prime candidate to move to a planet light years away from Earth. Planet Nevaeh had been settled over 200 years ago by a group of scientists hoping to start a new and escape the resource War of the 23rd century the trip had taken 5 years to reach Planet Nevaeh on arrival the scientist had sworn the place seemed more like a heaven ex giving its name Nevaeh heaven spelled backwards. Not very clever but who's she to judge she once had a cat named snowball that she had named because he was white. After the scientist had settled it was many years before they came in contact with more humans. A small spaceship that was mapping the star system had crashed on planet. A Lone Survivor a young engineered named Melissa Clark. was found and brought in for medical care to save her life. Melissa was shocked by the Nevaeh. After two generations of its people living on the planet had developed differently from the human still living on Earth. The radiation had mutated the genes making all of its citizens taller than average, making their bodies develop stronger muscles. Hair color and eye color had changed too. Blondes, redheads ,brunettes and black hair gave way to soft pinks and greens and purples shades Melissa when she was healthy enough was brought to the leader of the planet. Cobra Rossi was the grandson of the captain of the Adventure the ship that had brought them all the way here. Corbin laid his eyes on Melissa with her dark brown hair brown eyes Slim short figure. He had been surprised by how unique and usual she was compared to the tall athletically built women on Nevaeh. And she was just as equally impressed with his tall stature of 6 ft 6. He had more muscles than she ever seen any man on Earth dream of having, and had loved his strange unique rose gold eyes and dark hunter green hair. They had fallen in love and soon were married. And many of the other male residents had voiced their wishes to find Brides from Earthto. So Corbin and the rest of council had voted. Contacting Earth and setting up a trade agreement. They would send to Earth the mineral they found on Nevaeh a source of energy that could transport their ships much faster. a trip that used to take many years can now be done in 2 weeks. All Earth had to do with send willing young and pretty women to make a new home on a planet that had no poverty, a clean environment, no the lasting sickness or War.( still it was barbaric mail order brides in this day and time.) Rachel couldn't understand why they asked her so many questions when she knew the only things she really needed to be was in her early twenties very pretty and under 6 ft tall. Apparently Nevaeh males didn't want tall women. Looking around Rachel wondered if any of the other women had figured out the truth of why they were here. it became a closely guarded Secret of how the trade agreement worked of sending young Brides to Nevaeh. Earth's governments didn't want the rest of the population thinking they were selling s*x slaves off to outer space aliens. So many of the women were made to believe that they were chosen to immigrate because of special skill sets. While others were not chosen because of health problems or lack of Education. When the truth was many have been eliminated on looks and age. (no one over 30 was allowed to go)Even though a few men were chosen for the program not many were sent Rachel had known this was a source subject for the females of Nevaeh. Who made up the warrior class while men mostly made up the working and governing class of the government. The radiation had not just changed the physical looks of the human people that were born on the planet it also changed their mental chemistry as well. Females tend to be more aggressive of attitude than those over their counter parts on Earth. While men seem to be more easy going less likely to want to start a fight. So to make a long story short the men of Nevaeh were quite happy with their human wifes and got along perfectly fine. The women of Nevaeh were left with a shortage of husbands and the few men that were brought to the planet seem to clash with they're strong Warrior wives. Rachel had been smart enough to dig deeper than what was out there on the internet. with a good amount of her brother's money Rachel found sources to tell her the truth about the planet and it's people. A few unhappy ex-husbands had chosen the return to Earth more than more than willing to give the goods on the social problems of the planet. Rachel was not interested in marrying any of these Nevaeh men No her husband would be the man sitting across from her. The man her brother had hired to take care of her and guard her. The love of her life Philip Anderson. Who had on the orders of her brother followed her across space. to keep her in line and keep her safe until her brother himself could follow along with her supposedly new husband. Rachel knew her brother and Alan would not be allowed to travel to Nevaeh their reputation was way too solid. And her and Philip's children would be the first born of two human parents in a long time of the planet's history.The only problem was Philip was too stubborn to admit that he was in love with Rachel as much as she was in love with him. Austin's pink eye scan theorizon for any danger that might set upon them. As they traveled through the deserts on the southernmost continent of the planet 6 MI from the city of Bristol. The only city equipped for landing spaceships. Bristol was a fortress of tall walls reaching several stories high surrounded by a vast desert several miles long and every direction. when the Council had made it agreement to trade with Earth Bristol had been built and is far off location to help minimize the threat of predators attacking. The people of Nevaeh didn't use electricity. Electricity caused the native predators of their planet to go crazy and attack more often. The settlers had discovered this after several devastating attacks by multiple Predators types. Choosing a simpler way of life had not been easy for the scientist that chose to make this planet their home. But they had no choice Nevaeh though very beautiful was also home to many dangerous animals. And the payoff had gone well their planet was a clean healthy place and Austin had grew up on stories hand down to her mother from her mother whose mother had told her of how dirty and filthy Earth had become. And that they were lucky to live on such a glorious Garden planet. With it s deep oceans flowing Rivers vast Forest and beautiful deserts yes life wasn't always easy Their lifes could be good here if only they could get the males of their species to stop sending away for these pathetically little females did not have the sense to keep quiet when they were told to. Austin had grew up under the shadow of her mother a great General who had defended their home City against a large swarm of attacking tiger beetles who's chosen food source of little lemon fishes had had taken a drastic hit during a devastating drought causing many of them to die out when the tiger beetles were in their mating season when the tiger beetles were at their most ravagesly hungry they turned to the nearby City of Southern River Country to feed themselves Austin's mother Houston I'd rather her troops securing the citizens into the safe but the safety buckers that she had suggested many years earlier on building for just such an emergency. for three straight weeks her mother and the other Warriors had battled sending them off till the Beatles have had enough and moved on.Stories about how her mother had risked her life time and time again not only to save the Innocence defenseless citizens but saving the lives of her warriors with her. She was doing quite well for herself this was a very important job.Taking these young women to the nearest settlement City Forest Edge from there they would travel onto other new cities and towns until they found their would be husbands, but right now this was the most dangerous part of the journey the sand spiders were very territorial and could easily overtake them if not careful. More than once Austin had seen hundreds of them crawl from the sands jumping to the nearest warm body to Feast upon its flesh she herself had taken a few bites from the razor sharp teeth but luckily she was wearing her arm bands that would help protect in case of an attack. Sand spiders like to dig into the dirt and Chase I pray down the trick was to stand your ground until they came upon you and when they jumped for you to raise up your forearm so they would take a bite of your armor and then you could easily strike them with your spear. This technique that she trained many times in and drilled into her soldiers but the best way to devoid the sand spiders was to try to make an almost silent journey through the sands Austin and the rest of her Warriors had the hosts of their horses covered with claws to help with the with the noise the wagons even know heavily loaded down with the passengers for also told of the importance of staying quiet throughout the journey 8 hours they would travel from the City of Bristol where they landed to the edge of the forest they could not delay or dare stop for anything cuz at night the sand spiders become much worse. Even the other predators of navaria kept away from the deserts and fear of them. One of the reasons the city was built out here for the spaceships to land they would turn off the electricity afterwards and wait a few weeks until things calmed down between lunches and landings to him to lower the risk of attack. But this was a slow going trick and nothing should go wrong she had made these tracks many times before and many times before her mood was always sourd thinking of all these little bitty women brought here to to marry men the same men who do not appreciate the soldiers risking their lives to bring them to them. Austin's not like these human women she knew it was wrong to judge them that. She did not know them but she still did not like them because of them many of her had had a hard time to find husbands many had lonely lives was very little hope of children and families because of the small women but that was hopefully soon to change because of people like Austin. Women in command of armies and troops planned on making a change to the Government powers of their of their planet. Philip was tired. It had been a long 3 months 2 weeks to travel to the planet another 3 weeks at the holding Center of the city and before that endless interviews that he barely passed. Richard I thought he had bribed enough people to get Philip to the planet, but truth be told Philip got to the planet because of a friend. An old army buddy had pushed Philips application through. Max I tried to talk Philip out of going explaining to him that he'd be out of place. At first Phillip didn't understand what Max could be talking about apparently the men of Navara were giants. At 6 ft 6 this had sounded great to Philip he's finally not be the tallest man in a room. For all his life he had toward over everyone. Be nice to be able to blend and not stand out. But that didn't happen. Right from the start Phillip still stood out amongst the rest of the men traveling to the planet He had figured that all the other immigrants chosen for the program would be well over 6 ft in height men and women cuz he had heard rumors of looks were important. So he couldn't understand why so many short women were chosen and not one of them other men had even reached the height of six foot. Reaching the planet and seeing the females of this world made this even more confusing to him. All of them were nearly as tall as him and the commander that was leading him into the desert had looked Philip right in the eyes as he was climbing up onto the wragon giving the slow look up and down appreciating his large built. So it might have felt flattered but unfortunately the gorgeous pink-eyed Commander did nothing for Philip. No what did do something for Philip was sitting across with him giving him I want you eyes.
