About the Omegaverse

800 Words
As some of you might already know, each author writes about the Omegaverse with a different set of rules. This brief chapter will fill you in on how this one works.... In this world there are two genders, male and female; however there are three secondary genders: alpha, beta, and omega. Omegas, both male and female, can get pregnant but they can not impregnate. Female betas can only get pregnant, while male betas can only impregnate. Alphas, both male and female, can impregnate. However, females can also get pregnant, though the likelihood of this occurring is less than three percent. Studies are finding that through evolution, more female alphas are being born without a uterus. How pregnancy works: Males who have the capability to give birth have a uterus and develop a-cup sized breasts once impregnated. Females who have the capability to impregnate have a retractable p***s that forms from the c******s when aroused.  ALPHA: —Occupy 20% of the population.  —Have a high sperm count and can knot.  —Have irregular ruts every couple of months. —Have little to no chance of getting pregnant depending on their gender. —They are considered the elites of society. Most are presidents or CEOs of major companies.  —Tend to be intelligent, protective and on the aggressive side.  —Gorgeous/handsome, tall and have a more muscular build.  —Produce alpha pheromones that attract omegas. —Can control their pheromones (to a certain extent).  BETA:  —Occupy 70% of the population.  —They are considered average to society. Most have average jobs. —Considered to be mediators because of their rationality.  —Tend to be cool, calm, and collected.  —Average looks and bodies. Lanky/gangly.  —Produce beta pheromones, can detect other pheromones, but it does not affect them as severely as it does alphas and omegas.  OMEGA: —Occupy 10% of the population. —Have a high fertility rate.  —Have monthly heats that last approximately a week, this is when they are most fertile. —They are looked down upon and have poor, if any, jobs. They struggle to maintain work due to their heats.  —Tend to be docile, quite, timid and dense —Cute, short and have a feminine build.  —Produce omega pheromones that attract alphas What is a heat and rut? Only omegas have monthly heats. They last approximately a week and smelling a particular Alpha's pheromones can trigger their heat if their cycle is near. Their first heat can occur anytime between the ages of 11 to 19; with one case where an omega didn't get his heat until the age of 23. Alphas can have ruts (the alpha version of a heat) every few months. In both cases their heart rate increases, they develop a fever, lose control of their bodies and minds, and go into a s****l frenzy where all they can think about is reproducing, incapable of doing anything else. Omegas struggle to obtain and hold jobs because most employers deny their applications after reviewing their secondary genders. They argue that if they go into heat while at work the situation can quickly turn dangerous and can cause a great commotion. For the few who do employ omegas, they almost immediately fire them after having them hired once their first or second heat cycle arrives and becomes an inconvenience as the omega must take that time off work for everyone's safety. Most omegas stay at home when in heat to prevent rape, since the pheromones they release during this time make it extremely difficult for alphas to control themselves (a reason why they start taking birth control once they get their first heat). Rape is legal in instances where an alpha claims the pheromones of the omega caused them to lose their mind, but it is greatly frowned upon and can get one fired from his or her job in some places. Betas can control themselves around an omega's pheromones, so some alphas and omegas hire them to help prevent any accidents (however, most betas are too weak to stop an alpha who has truly lost control). A popular method to help control an omega's heat is to use suppressants. As their name suggests, they aid in suppressing their heat and the release of pheromones. Each omega responds to suppressants differently, it can take a while until they find the right dose and brand for them. The Bite Mark: An omega is marked when an alpha bites the nape of their neck during their heat. Many omegas want this because once they are bitten their pheromones will only affect their mate, making for an easier life. However, once marked omegas are unable to have s****l relations with anyone apart from the one who bit them without getting extremely sick. Alphas remain unaffected, but usually develop a strong sense of protection for their mate. It is rumored that some alphas and omegas can become bonded, also known as fated pairs—meaning they can vaguely sense how the other is feeling or if they are hurt, depending on how deep their connection is to one another at that very moment.
