Next morning Steve was up and out at daybreak. He loaded the trailer with a solar fence charger, electric fencing, stakes, insulators, sledgehammer, pliers and everything else he can think of that he might need.
Hopefully the bear was still back there and not in the main valley. After gassing up, he put the rifle on the rack of the four wheeler and headed to the back of the valley. He knew the dogs would be along so he didn"t bother calling them.
When almost there, he looked around and sure enough both dog and wolf were following along behind him. This was a real comfort, for as long as they were around he knew they would let him know if anything else was around.
