October 11, 2016 "Okay I know we only just met but can I just say you look hot?!" Nadine's eyes tracked down my body at the choice of clothing I had chosen this morning. I would agree that I looked like a hot piece of ass. Not only had I gotten up early to straighten my hair but I also dug into my closet to find a perfect little black dress. I had only worn it once and it seemed to attract men since well... I had defiantly attracted someone the night I wore it. I had also made sure my eyeliner was sharper than Harry's jawline which trust me was not easy. I feel like someone had punched me in the eye from how many times I scrubbed at my eyes if I made even a little mistake on my eyeliner. This was phase one of my plan and hopefully, this whole sexy get-up would make up for my little comment yesterday. "Nah, we are friends! Not to mention our little conversation about Ed Sheeran yesterday but I think we are allowed to tell each other these things." I nodded at Nadine and saw Harry walk in from the side. He was dressed in a white collared shirt and black slacks that were tightened to his waist with a belt. "Madeline you look..." Harry's eyes scanned my body up and down as soon as he spotted me. He stopped his tracks and admired my body from a few feet away. I was loving the attention and I wasn't sure why I didn't wear this dress more often. Actually, scratch that I knew why but I didn't want to think about that right now. "Really nice." "Thank you, you don't look so bad yourself," I tell him as he sits down at his desk still dazed by my outer appearance. As me being extra I also thought I would throw on some red lipstick to top it all off which just brought the entire look together. "Where did you get that dress?" Nadine keeps staring at my black dress that I can't help but love because of how flattering it is. It shows off my little curves and also isn't too short, it was a classy dress that never failed to exceed my expectations. "Express I think..." I enlighten her even though I am not even sure if that is where I got the dress in the first place. It was either Express or Pac Sun I wasn't one hundred percent sure which is funny considering this dress has literally changed my life, well, my love life that is. "A little black dress is essential in any girl's closet and I need one!" Nadine rants to me going on to explain that the dresses she has tried have never really fit her the right way. She told me there was always something wrong with the dress whether it be the fit, length, style, there was always something not right. "I would love to stay and chat but I have a meeting in 5 so I am going to prep the conference room, are we still on for lunch later?" I twirl turning around in my dress to face Harry again because like I have said before I am extra. "Yeah, I will see you at lunch!" Harry responds to me as I walk away with the file in my arms. I make sure to shake my hips as I walk just in case Harry was watching me without me knowing. I was going to bring my A game and so far it was working. I would basically taste my weekend date with Harry. It didn't take long for my client Mrs. Brooks, a soon to be single mother to come in. She looked tired from the bags she tried to hide with makeup and the way she carried herself in here today. Paris had brought her back and directed her to the conference room I had reserved for our meeting today. "Mrs. Brooks its very nice to meet you my name is Madeline." I stood up to shake the frail women's hand. She looked a little malnourished to me by the way her hand seemed to feel more like that of a skeleton. Clearly, her situation had been eating at her and caused her large amounts of stress. "Oh please call me Stephanie!" The women with blonde curly hair and dull gray eyes smiled at me with what energy she had left in her. "Alright Stephanie feel free to take a seat and we can get started." We both sit in the rolling chairs and I open up her file to remind me of the details of her case. She was a looking to get divorced from her husband that had a history of violence and substance abuse. She was also seeking full custody of their 2-year-old son Daniel. "Now I have reviewed your case file and I think that we have a strong case. The only thing we are lacking is the evidence of his violence. We can prove from his many DUI's he has a substance abuse issue but we really need to argue he is a direct threat to you and your son." I tell the Stephanie who I can tell had been crying before she came in here. She was in pretty bad shape and it was people like her that made me want this job. I wanted to help others out of their bad situations and I knew that with Stephanie's case I would be able to do just that. "Has he ever attempted to hit you or your son?" I ask her question to get something to work with. I figure that if he has committed an act of violence against her or their son then I can argue this point. "He's never touched Daniel but when he gets into his drunken rages... that's when he gets violent. He has hit me a handful of times when he was drunk and I have a few pictures of the bruises he left on my face. I can also provide a few witnesses if needed to confirm that he gave me three black eyes in the times he hit me." Her eyes were tearing up and becoming redder, her story was truly tragic and I was going to do everything I could to help her out. "If you could write down those witnesses along with their numbers I would love to talk to them. Any bit of evidence helps." I tell Stephanie who I still trying to collect herself. "I'm so sorry I told myself I wouldn't do this and now-" I cut her off finding all of what she was feeling justifiable. She was hurting and she had a right to. "Don't be sorry I know this all is overwhelming right now but trust me when I say it will all get better. I will make sure of it." I touch her frail hand again and feel how cold it is against my skin. Every bone in my body wanted to hug her and reassure her but I had to keep things professional. My first meeting with Jeremiah and Becky had turned into a porno which didn't look good on me even though Harry and Nadine said to not worry about it. Talking out some details outlining her court date and cross-examination I gave her tips to deal with all the pressure nailing her down. I knew she was very stressed at the moment and I wanted to help ease that as much as I could being her lawyer. "Thank you so much, Madeline! You have no idea what your help means to me right now." Stephanie stands up along with myself and engulfs me in a hug I hadn't expected. She squeezes me for a few moments and lets go looking back at me with a little smile. "That's what I am here for," I tell her and walk her back out to the office and out to where the elevator was. "We will be in contact." I waved her off making sure she got into the elevator okay before walking back into the office. I pace back to my desk as see that Harry is tracking his eyes up and down my body. I try really hard not to smile like some i***t to ruin the moment since I was going for that s*x appeal approach. I sit down next to him and surf my computer, not paying attention to the way Harry is staring at me. I thought I would change my strategy and make him come to me I knew that boys liked the chase so I was going to give it my best shot. I hated games and liked getting straight to the point with relationships but I knew I needed to entertain Harry for awhile. "How was your meeting today?" He asks and I keep my eyes on my computer, trying to not give him so much attention. "It was good, I have a good feeling about it," I tell him looking at my schedule I had with Mrs. Brooks. I had a ton of meetings lined up and that wasn't counting the meeting I would have with these potential witnesses. I needed to get in contact with the names Stephanie gave me as soon as I could. "Really? Why is that?" Harry questioned causing me to finally look over at his curious looking face. It was clean shaven and clear as day, truly something I envied since I worked hard to keep my skin as clear as his. I couldn't shake the fact that his face conveyed so much emotion without him even trying. "She has given me a lot to work with, unlike Jeremiah and Becky." I shake my head and roll my eyes playfully as soon as I bring them up. I am blessed to see those dimples form in his cheeks, I swear I leave for that. "I don't know Jeremiah and Becky were pretty compelling if you ask me." He grins widely at me and bites the tip of his pen he has been holding the entire time. "Are you hungry or something?" I ask him as he gnaws at his pen still grinning at me from his comment about my first case working here. "What?" "You are eating that pen like it's the last edible thing on Earth." I tease him watching him tug the pen out of his mouth and drop it on his desk. Unaware that he was biting the pen so hard he looks at the teeth marks for few seconds. "Well I have been waiting for you to go to lunch, your meeting went 10 minutes over." He stands up to stretch and I grab my purse to follow him out of the office. "Some adults have work to do." I tease him knowing that he basks in banter and teasing. I learned this from observing his relationship with Nadine. "I work! I just don't oppose having fun." His eyes slide over to me when we reach the elevator and get inside just the two of us. "Fun as in bugging Nadine?" I knew when he meant fun that meant he was pestering Nadine all day long. I would glance over occasionally to see Nadine roll her eyes at Harry about 4 times during my meeting with Mrs. Brooks. "I prefer the words having fun with Nadine." The doors to the elevator close and from the outside, it looks like a warm up to a spicy s*x scene. However again this is the reality not an on-screen reality tv show but I get what I can take and a lunch alone with Harry is good enough for me. N. I know I said I would double update yesterday but I was too upset that Atlanta didn't win so I may or may have not forgotten ha! I owe you guys an extra chapter so tomorrow I will double update!:)
