I looked at Kevin with a horrified look on my face.
"I don't understand," my voice shook.
"I am afraid I'm going to have to let you go," Kevin cleared his throat and repeated himself. I bet he knew it'd be hard as I didn't do anything wrong, so why was he doing it?
"But why? There must be a reason," I asked.
The timing couldn't be worse. I just found out my father needed money from me, and I was almost getting evicted alongside my six year old daughter. And now I was about to lose the only job I had. It was as if my whole world was crumbling down. What did I do to deserve this?
