Leas POV. The music is loud and people are dancing in the hall. I looked around and saw 2 omegas standing a few feet away from me. They are talking heavily about all the cute guys here. The hall is filled with single wolves looking for their mates. It's actually Jaden Hydes Alpha ceremony and Alphas and their packs from around the country are joined to celebrate him. I don't have a clue who he is. I just love attending these parties for food and drinks. You are such a tease! Oh please, like you don't enjoy any of this, Blade! We never come to anything like this if we don't just go with the flow. That's my wolf, Blade. She can be a pain in my ass, but I can't live without her. She is a big, black furry wolf with blood-red eyes. She is bigger than any of the other wolves in the pack but we are Lycans, so that explains it. I overhear the two omegas talking about a hot guy in the bar. "He's just perfect! I mean look at him, Mia." The omega makes a nod towards the guy and the other girl, who I assume is Mia, takes a discreet sneak peek. Mia blushed at the sight of the guy and I smiled. Oh that young love! Blade starts laughing. You are younger than her! No I'm not. Yes you are. You are ridiculous right now. Go for a run. I pushed her out of my thoughts and started walking to the bar. I got a whiskey and sat down in the bar. A guy walks up to me and gives me a dashing smile. "What are you drinking?" he asks with a smirk. "It's just a whiskey." I answered politely. He started touching my thigh. Blade roars in my mind. She hates it when someone disrespects us. I took his hand gently and removed it. The poor guy doesn't get the hint and places his hand back on my thigh. Blade is just about to emerge and my eyes turn blood red. I look him in the eyes and his face turns pale. He quickly removed his hand and walked away. That stupid s**t. Who does he think he is? Don't worry about it. He is gone and we can go back to our party. Fine. Blade is not happy but she will be, soon enough. I start dancing to the music and guys surround me to watch me move my body. I'm wearing a small dress cut just beneath my butt. If I bend over they can see everything. I kind of like that. Not that I will ever give them permission to touch me. I heard a girl cry, saying no to a huge guy. I spotted them in the doorway on their way out of the hall. He has his hands on her arm, it's dripping with blood. I walked over to them, through the crowd. "Hey! Stop that, let go of her." I said with a calm but firm voice. The guy turns around and gives me an evil look. He growls at me. "Mind your own business, bitch." I could feel the anger grow in me but I managed to calm Blade down. The girl sobbed quietly. She gave me pleading eyes. I growled back and said. "No, I will not mind my own business. You are hurting her and I'm asking you nicely to let her go." I can feel Blade is on her toes and ready for action. The guy lets go of the girl's arm. I'm relieved. Then he started walking towards me. I stand my ground knowing he's a beta. I can sense his power and status. I tease him. "Are you sure you want to fight me? Since I'm a b***h and all?" I made a devilish smile. The guy's face turns red and his eyes shift from green to golden. He strikes out after my cheek, but I dodge his blow. I grab him by the throat and lift him a few inches off the ground. I dug my nails into his throat, the blood dripping on the floor. Everyone's eyes are on me now. There is a roar behind me and I know it's the Alpha of the beta. I release him and he falls to the ground with a bang. I turned around and looked the Alpha in the eyes. He is taller than the beta and me. I can see the anger in his eyes and he growls at me. "What the hell do you think you're doing?! Get your hands off my beta!". I continue having eye contact with him, making him even more angrier. I said in my calmest voice. "Your beta insulted a girl, a minor. I told him to stop. He didn't, instead he attacked me. I stopped him from doing something illegal, you're welcome." I smiled. The Alpha do not, though. He looks pissed. "I can smell your weakness. You are no more than an omega. How dare you go against the laws of nature? You're a nobody and you will die for this." I laughed and he took a step towards me. A hand stops him though. Behind him is a big and muscular man, his hair is hazelnut brown and his eyes dark blue. He holds the other Alpha with a firm hand. He whispers in his ear. "Caleb, this is not the place or time. Stop this now." Calebs eyes softened and he smiled at me. "I apologize for my beta's behavior, he will not be a problem again." He turns his attention to the beta, who looks frightened. He growls at him and the beta gets up quickly and follows his Alpha. I turned my attention to the omega, her arm was bleeding, there is blood everywhere. We walked out into the kitchen to get a towel. She thanked me and went out into the hall to join the rest of the party. I can sense the big Alpha again, he is standing at the bar. I approached him and ordered a whiskey. He looks at me with a humorous smile. I made eye contact with him and smiled at him. "What are you smiling at?" He starts to laugh and I look at him with surprise. "What are you laughing at? You are very rude right now." He stops laughing and looks at me with serious eyes. "You are the one who's being rude and disrespectful. You should learn to respect those higher than you. You'r just an omega." I chuckle. I stepped closer to him, keeping eye contact. "Who says I'm an omega?". His eyes widened in surprise. "Aren't you?". I took another step and whispered into his ear. "No." I took a deep breath, breathing in his delicious smell. He took a deep breath himself and we stood there paralyzed by each others scent. I pulled back and smiled at him. His eyes are dark, full of lust. He suddenly says, "You haven't thanked me yet?" I chuckle. "Why would I thank you?". He furrow his brows. "I just saved you from being ripped apart?!" I make a big laugh. "You didn't save me? I had it under control." I winked at his frustrated face. "You're gonna get yourself killed with that attitude." I pop my lower lip and give him the cutest dog eyes. "Then it's good I have my own hero right here." I touch his arm with a delicate touch. He looks surprised but doesn't move. I can suddenly feel my beta, Cain, trying to mind link with me. I let him trough. I'm sorry to interrupt, Alpha. But we have a rouge problem. Wes and his rouge pack is in our territory. Call the pack back to the pack house, I will be right there. Yes Alpha. I look into the strangers eyes and says. "I'm sorry, but I have to go." I turn on my heel and walk out of the hall before he can say anything. I don't look back but I can feel his gaze on my back. I smile. Blade, on the other hand, is not pleased with his gaze. How dare he stare at your ass. Stupid man. Hush Blade, now lets go!
