As soon as the door was shut behind me, something felt off , the room felt funny. The air around me felt hot, too hot to be just the humid weather outside . Going to the thermostat, I checked to see if I’d left the heat on, but it was mid summer. I haven’t touched the heat once yet since coming here. Maybe the old boiler had broken or something, the thermostat looked untouched. Walking to the radiator, I ran my hand along it to find it cold. Heading into the kitchen, I opened the porch door to let some air in. The air outside didn’t feel so hot, so that the house would become this hot. I couldn’t help myself but to let my eyes slide to next door , I didn’t know what I was looking for. Maybe Adam was there and I could get another look at him maybe. But disappointingly, he wasn’t there. S
