When Herbert opened the door, I immediately sang a birthday song for him and held the cake I made with my own hands in front of him.
Earlier, I asked Richard to cooperate with me and leave the birthday party early on purpose to prepare this birthday cake for Herbert.
"Why are you back? Didn't you have something important to do?" Hebert's tone was as cold as usual, but the expression on his face was clearly one of surprise.
I smiled and passed the cake in my hand to him: "I left because I wanted to give you a surprise."
Hebert did not answer me, but his eyes still looked at the cake.
